Nothing but class, The sport needs more like you. Adversity will mold Vinny and do nothing but make him a better young man than he already is. Rutgers is getting a Quality young man.
My thoughts exactly. We all cried with him through that loss but know that he is moving on to bigger things. Vinny has been a great mentor to Blake and an excellent practice partner. It has been a great experience to get to spend the last two seasons watching him wrestle and getting to know you and Francine.

We have supported Indy Nationals through the good and bad since the first one. Blake was thrilled to see them add a high school division this year and although he was exhausted, he would not have missed it. Thank you for all the kinds words about Blake. He is already looking forward to next season.

Love it. If you are in 7th or 8th grade, tell your mom we have a Camaro for her and tell your dad we have some bags of cash ready to distribute. You have to be a ISWA Middle School finalist though. If not, we'll save all that money for the good kids.
Dang it, they must have started this the year after my Middle School state champ enrolled there. A new Camaro sure sounds nicer than my ride. Maybe I better take this up with admissions.

Funny to see Rypel(182) was a weight class below Jason Crary(113).
Jason's dad and I joke about that often. There are quite a few guys that Blake used to be the same size as that he is much bigger than now. It is so much fun to watch them all grow up.
One of my favorites things that I saw on the list was :
Midget - 140
1st Place - Morgan Kral of Crown Point
I have a much different image of a 140# 9 year old than what Morgan turned out to be.

I think first takedown decides this match up between (Tarwick vs Porter ticket rd), good luck to both....
I am going to jump on in and point out that this is one crappy ticket round draw. All of the other possibilities in this bracket and that is what we end up with??? Both deserve to advance.

This behavior has been on going. I have seen them wrestle 3 times in 2 years. At calumet last year they
had someone from there staff thrown out. I believe the same this year and happened to see the same event at team state.
Hmmm, I have seen at least 60 of their matches and can't recall one other incident. Maybe we have been watching 2 different teams.
-
perhaps, or Helms is pretty good. It's Cosaro and then the rest.
My comment was not intended to sound like an insult to Helms, sorry if it came across that way.
I am sure Corsaro is looking forward to the great matches ahead.

Was Hughes a semi state champ last year? And was his Friday night loss to McKloskey?
No and Yes. Hughes lost 1-0 to Mark Maldonado at Semi-State, finishing 3rd. McCloskey also had a lost at Semi-State finishing 2nd. This led to the unfortunate Friday night match up resulting in Hughes not placing.
All this talk about hughes, didnt joles beat him just a couple months ago at the ihpo. If i remember right he handled him pretty easily on his feet. Maybe we should be looking at corsaro versus joles. Just my thoughts. Time will tell.
Helm also beat Hughes that day. Nothing against Helm or Jolas but everyone can have an off day and Hughes seemed off that day.

Bocock and Turner met again for 3rd and Turner won 11-0.

I think the point of that is they want spectators going both days not just Saturday.
I agree. However, there are minimal places to stay in Connersville and taking off work during a short Holiday week is not easy for everyone so it could be a major pain to make it both days. I went both days last year. I very rarely ever miss my son's matches regardless of if he is wrestling a first year kid or the #1 ranked in the state... However, it would still be nice to know ahead of time if I could maybe miss the first day this year if it is too much trouble to get there. Leaving it unseeded may make both days more exciting, I am not argueing that. I would just like to see brackets the day before. Just giving my 2 cents on the matter.
-
It would be great to see the brackets ahead of time. Some people may want that info to determine if they are taking off work on Friday or not. If it were seeded, we would know that big match ups will happen Saturday. Since it is not, we dont know until brackets come out and that really sucks for parents/ spectators.

He got hit with an arm spin twice by brett johnson and hit his head pretty bad both times.
??? Tommy left because he was sick. He was sick all week but wanted to wrestle anyway despite his parents and coach urging him to sit this one out. After a few matches, he felt even worse and realized he should call it a day and left with his grand parents. He was not injured and will be at 100% and ready to compete at Al Smith.
