Bellmont duals are tough. But at North Mont (at least when I coached there) it included: Bloomington South, Perry Meredian, Warren Central, Carmel, New Pal, Portage?...

Young won by fall first round and just beat Minnesota state champ Fynboh 13-3. CA state champ (Sakaguchi) first thing in the morning...!

dolly won

dolly won by fall. he got the first takedown, cameron escaped...a few nice scrambles. could have been a stalemate, but the ref held out the position and dolly came up with the td and fall.

i noticed that cashe was registered twice...his coaches may not be aware of that...

what other indiana wrestlers are going to attend?

Is Angel back to championship form?   Is he 100% again? 

Well he his shoulder's status has changed since last year when it was injured. He hasn't had surgery. So it's doubtful that it is 100%...

if im not mistaken, I do believe you can score 5 points for a near fall (3NF + 1 INJ + 1 Penalty (Grabbing face)

I've never heard of this. That would be a 4pt nearfall and then an illegal hold for 1pt. They would add up to 5 points (haha), but it wouldn't be a 5pt nearfall.

do we know the lineup for IL yet? if so, what is it?

 

5- For years, drove 50-70 min. to Portage to train( 1 hour &40 minutes- 2 hours & 20 minutes total)

granted Overtime is well worth the drive, but for a high school student to do 3 hours of driving (with his family or not) a night to get to wrestling practice isn't necessarily considered within reasonable driving limits, in my opinion. howe had to travel nearly 1.5 hours there and 1.5 hours back to get to Overtime. so to use the excuse that he was within driving limits of that club doesn't really make that much sense. it wasn't just down the street!!

 

Those of us down here in the crotch of the state are extemely proud of him and what he has accomplished.  Don't get on the young man's case just because you don't know him.

 

Wouldn't that technically be known as the left foot of the state with Bloomington being the approximate crotch?

Cadet, when i read the original post i woulda bet every penny to my name that you were gonna be the one to correct him on the score at the time of the fall hahaha  ;D I woulda made me some loot!

I'll have to agree with Swain on this one. If the offensive wrestler was throwing the 2nd leg in after the defensive wrestler stood up (to cause the stoppage) then I would understand the stalling call on the offensive wrestler.

I'd propose getting rid of the potentially dangerous in that situation and let the wrestlers wrestle. If the defensive wrestler slams the offensive wrestler to his back, it's an illegal slam and he has potential to lose the match. Maybe?

Kinser beat Welch both times they wrestled this year...that's a little odd to me.

Yeah, we went over there in January because Herman (Ft. Wayne) fought in the last Sengoku. Take the training seriously. Those people over there are FOR REAL. Check out their opening ceremonies on youtube. It's aweing.

I plan on wrestling seniors this year if there are ever opponents to wrestle! I will be at 163. I still can't break 156 though!

are the other finals on youtube in that quality as well?
