  2. What are the official dates for the growth allowance to take affect this year? I know there are several holiday tournements, and would like to know if the growth allowance will happen before year end? Anyone know the "official" dates? formerwrestler
  3. Coach Sisson: Thanks for again letting Tipton be a part of your tourney! While the drive to Floyds Knobbs is a long one. The competition is very good. It is great to have an opportunity to wrestle FC, and some very strong Kentucky schools. Just wish we had a few more guys to bring down. Thanks too for getting our two JV guys some matches. it is important for them to get valuable mat time too. Your hospitality room was AWESOME. Best we've seen this year. Hope we are invited back again next year. Best of luck throughout the season, hope to see you again later in the year. formerwrestler
  4. I'd Like to know final results too. Left before the end of the final match due to 3 hour bus ride. Saw some really good, exciting matches during the whole day. I belive St. X and Floyd Central were battling it out for the championship. Oldham County beat Tipton 40-39 for third in the cross pool bracket. Tipton was 1-3 on the day. Pool B: R #1 THS vs. Bye R #2 THS 36 South Oldham (KY) 27 R# 3 THS 36- St. Xavier (KY) 42 Cross bracket R #4 THS 42 Floyd Central 43 on 4th tie break criteria (Excellent match) R #5 THS 39-Oldham County (KY) 40 The THS/FC match was very exciting and the match all came down to 171lbs. with Moats of THS and McAndrew of FC. FC had the team score lead by three going into that match. Moats jumps out to a 6-3 lead after 2 periods, and McAndrew cuts Moats and takes him down 4 times in the third to close the gap and take the lead by 1pt. Moats has a last second reversal to regain the lead 12-11 in the closing seconds. The Official signals for OT, but THS requests a conference to verify the score. The official mistakenly "verifies" the score and proceeds to OT without addressing the THS coach's request. In OT. McAndrew gets another TD and is declared the winner. Immediately following the match the THS coach again requests a conference with the official to explain his request for verifying the score. After @ a 15 minute delay and discussion the official correctly rules that Moats won the match in regulation 12-11 which ties the team score and criteria is used to determine that FC won the dual on criteria 3-FC had more total number of falls, defaults, forfeits, or DQ's. Was really impressed with the official correcting the error and the willingness for the two head coaches to do the right thing. OT was declared "Bad time" and Moats declared the winner. Man. Great match worth the price of admission for this match alone. THS individual records of note: 145 Pore 4-0 152 Rutledge 4-0 171 Moats 4-0 Hwt. Hufford 4-0 189/215 Ford 3-1 (loss by fall to #1 ranked KY 215lb Chiba-Oldam County) 215/189 Warner 3-1 (loss 7-8 to #1 ranked KY 189lb Houchens -S. Oldham) 160 Napier 2-2
