I’m not saying send him instead, I’m saying his performances and Geraei’s form have shown he deserves a wrestle off.

I’d be very disappointed if there isn’t a a wrestle off at 67 with Ismaili. I love Geraei but he spends so much time at 72 and his condition at 67 hasn’t looked great.

What’s going on with Taylor, I’m not an expert in American wrestling so maybe Brooks is that good, but he seemed to have no penetration? Internationally can’t remember seeing him get that deep on a leg like that and get stuffed. Maybe Brooks has the heaviest hips ever seen at 86, his defence was amazing, but had a quick look at some of his other matches and didn’t seem like other wrestlers couldn’t finish on him… And don’t wanna get armchair expert here but physically Taylor looked way softer than he’s looked last few worlds.

Kavianinejad and Mohmadi through to the semis! Tough match for Mohmadi against the Uzbek Berdimuratov, the guy that beat Alizadeh at Asian games last year.

Can’t work out if Khari’s got no cardio or if he just keeps getting matched with these super charged Indian lightweights… Good last second come back from him against the Kyrgyz though.

Makes sense we have to send our best guys to the Asian qualifier. (Japan are sending Arash Yoshida btw) Would be hilarious if 2020 Mohammadian came out of nowhere and wrecked Taz for one tournament though.

Aman who beat Khari at Asian games will be their rep at Olympic qualifiers, I think we’re in big trouble at 57 this time.

Yeah we’re struggling at 57 badly. Was hoping for big things from Khari but he didn’t have a good tournament. Any one know who we’re sending to the qualifier?

Masoumi gets revenge on Munkhtur 4-3 after being 4-0 up til the last 20 secs and also comically pushing the Mongolian through the judges table wwe style in the 1st period.

Firouzpour at 92 so good, put a crazy pace on the Moldovan and finished with a pin being 11-1 up.

Another crazy match between Yazdani and Almataliev, Kyrgyz came out on top this time.

Wow Momeni just got teched by japans Ono (who was runner up at last emperors cup at 65) in the 1/4 final.

6-2 Yazdani. Every time Yaz got to his legs MA would look to chest wrap but yazdani worked out for 2.

Also Vafaeipour teched the Mongolian 86 guy we see at Asians and worlds 10-0 to win gold. Huge tournament for him!

Yes Shamil Mamedov, 65 truly chaotic! Shame about Geraei. One thing I would say is he wrestles very aggressively like this final, he could have sat out his opponents parterre and give up one but he when for a big action and got himself countered. Has to be a serious discussion about 67 with Ismaili now.

Palangvar just edged out Kazakh Askarov 7-6 for bronze at 65. (Same Kazakh that teched khorramdel)

Trying to keep up results, Vafiepour seems to be our only guy who made it to a final. Also looks like Mamedov got teched first round by that Tajik guy Kudiev who I don’t remember being very impressive..

Nah it was a guy called Satayev, can’t lie not familiar with him. Guy tried to reverse lift from parterre and Geraei stood up in a front headlock and threw him for four but got immediately turned into pin.

Thanks, I watched the Saravi match on a random Russian stream of the the Turkish channel, much easier to find now. Anyone keeping an eye on Dan kolov? Geraei teched his way to final at 72 then got pinned by Kazakh.

At 65 Khorramdel and Palangvar are on top half, Hasegawa and Mamedov are bottom half. 74 Abouzari on the same top side as Burroughs, would meet in semi if he can make it that far. 125 Masoumi and Lotfi are on opposite sides of draw. Mad there’s no live stream for this in 2024, dunno what I’m paying plus for tbh.
