SOUTHERN THRONE SC, MYRTLE BEACH Tournament Schedule 4/28 Saturday - Individual Tournament Split Start Sessions 9:00 AM ~ Start Times for Divisions. Youth (D1) Ages 6-Under / (D3) 10-Under // (D6) Ages 15-16 // Girls 12-Under Division. 1:30 PM ~ Start Times for Divisions. Youth (D2) Ages 8-Under // Youth (D4) Ages 12-Under // Youth (D5) Ages 14-Under // (D7) Ages 19-Under // Girls Youth 9-Under // Girls Ages 19-Under Division. 4/29 Sunday - All Team Duals Start at 9:00 AM (All Division's) NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCES. TEAM 1 *HS Grades 7-12: 3 Periods ~ 1 ½ Minutes 102, 108, 117, 125, 130, 138, 145, 155, 167, 187, 220, HWT. TEAM 2 *15-Under Age Based Teams: 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 120, 130, 140, 160, HWT (Max 260) 3 Periods ~ 1 ½ Minutes (Must be 8th Grade or below) TEAM 3 *12-Under Age Based Teams. 56, 60, 64, 68, 72, 76, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 107, 115, 125, 135, HWT (170 max) (3) One Minute Periods. Gear Orders must be in by April 5TH, and wrestlers must at least wear an Elite Athletic Club Singlet to participate. Individual Tournament sign up is parent’s responsibility to register and sign up. Please sign up under Elite Athletic Club as they do team points for this portion as well. $550 will include Dual, travel, housing for the week, just need money for food while we are there. *Travel in team vans *Stay as a team in a team house (trying to book on the beach!) Depart from Elite Athletic Club - 6am April 26th Head Home from Rental home 6am May 1st Travel and Housing are included, if the wrestler is not traveling with the team it is still factored into the total. Housing if the wrestler chooses not to stay with the team I have to know as this effects the cost for others. Parents wishing to stay with the we only have room for 3 and is on a first come first serve basis! Top 4 placers will receive custom Team & Individual medals. (Special OW Awards for each Division) . Winter Throne ring to each champion in the individual competition Individual Tournament will Crown a Team Champion based on TrackWrestling Points. Elite is looking to fill dual teams! https://www.gofundme.com/girls-hs-state-champion-wrestler Kaylee Adams a freshmen at Portage High School (IN) became the schools first girls HS Wrestling State Champion at the 113lb weight class January 19th 2018. Indiana started a separate Girls HS state championship last year ran by the "IHSWCA" (Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association) unfortunately for Adams, girls wrestling has not been sanctioned by Indiana High School Athletic Association the athletic governing body for Indiana High School Sports. The IHSWCA is actively trying to get it sanctioned. What this means is Kaylee accomplished her goal of winning a High School State wrestling Championship as a freshmen but will not be honored as the boys do when they win a State title! She will not get her name enshrined on the school walls, she will not have a banner displayed in the wrestling room, and she will not receive a State Championship ring! Not the way she dreamed about before winning the State title. She dreamed about being the first female on the wrestling room walls, the first female with a wrestling State Championship ring! Kaylee not only puts in work in the High School room with nationally ranked Portage wrestler's (all boys currently) she trains with Elite Athletic Club a wrestling Academy in Lake Station Indiana. Kaylee was honored by several newspaper articles, as well as the local Mayors office, and school board members. She will be the first lady to ever receive her Varsity letter at Portage HS! This being said, we hope to raise the funds to purchase her a State Championship ring that she deserves. Although this has discouraged Kaylee she has still kept her head up and continues to work hard as she is now training for various National tournaments in the off season.
