  1. May sound biased but I strongly believe Jason Tsirtsis is the most dominant/best wrestler in Indiana history. Freshman year he beat the defending state champion to earn his first state title. The next 3 years he doesn't get scored on offensively. Pinning/teching his way through the state tournament(Senior year). Also bumped up 2 or 3 weight classes to major Bobby Stevenson in a dual meet who later placed 5th at state that year.... I think. Then after the season he beat former NCAA champion, Darrion Caldwell. A couple weeks later he beat the #2 ranked wrestler in the country by a 14 point margin. The last two facts are what separates him from the rest of the pack in my opinion.

  2. Big guns in this group. How many state champs? Could this regional produce the most?

    106-Moran could win it.

113-Cummings has a good shot at winning.

120-Moran can be a high placer.

    126-Niewhoener could qualify for state.

132- Tolin has the ability to place.

    138-Schurg can place top 5.

145-Lamore can place high if he wrestles like he did yesterday.

152-Scott,Lorek, and Lemley can all qualify. (The winner of regionals not all 3)

160-Kasch can qualify and possibly place.

    170- Hughes will get first.

    182- Davison might win it.

    195-Davison could place.

    220-Kukurugya might place.

    285-Ceglarek?

I would say this regional can produce 4 state champs!

Lemley vs Lorek should be a good semi.

The winner vs Scott will be a good one!
