  1. Classy...Nothing but Pure Class there Sparky.
  2. Yes...I do...Thank You for asking...
  3. Let's get the important part out of the way first. GREAT YEAR SO FAR EVERYONE! A lot of hard work and really solid kids out there! Hats off to the Jasper Wrestling Program also. If you haven't seen them on the mats this year, it has been something really special! Now on to the actual reason I have decided to show up here. I have NO idea why people want to create drama, and act a fool about all sorts of things, but this is the FIRST TIME I have logged into this board this year. I am sure many can understand that life sometimes takes some wild turns, and it has been a roller coaster for sure in Boltsville! If you know me, then you are aware of the changes that have occured over the last couple of years and that I am working more than a person should have to these days. So not a lot of time to the sport that has been so good to all of us. Sad to say life just sometimes gets in the way. BUT...People have pulled me aside and talked to me about the chatter of the board monkeys and honestly I can't quiet come to grips with why everyone is arguing. I read this thread and I will admit I laughed my a** off because the creepers out there are pointing at their monitors and whispering "BlueBolt!". Sorry folks, what you have actually seen is apparently people supporting one program that are arguing over something among themselves. Now, I know some of you, and others I don't. So let me close this out by making a couple of observations: A. The new Sectional Alignment for Castle and Central. Apparently someone staggered out of a bar somewhere and found a map of Southwestern Indiana and decided they could do this better. Well - They didn't. They took two sectionals, made them one and half, and screwed a Regional in the process. Just may opinion of course. I don't disagree that a bit of rezoning could have been done, but the only stupid move they missed was sending Tell City to Central. B. There are some words being tossed around here pretty freely and I am starting to wondering if people know the meaning of them. Yes folks the work "Dominant". I will agree completely that some have stronger line ups than others, and that weekend and week out some kids are more likely to win than others. But these are kids. Things happen and situations change. We have all seen kids show up in the State Tourney Series that no one even considered a contender in November or December. Happens every year. So using words like Dominant typically becomes a fools path. Before you decide to go blowing off and get your panties in a bunch, ask someone who has been around this area for a few years and see if they can recall walking into Regionals or Semi-State only to watch their kid exit the tourney early at the hands of someone no one had heard of. Happens at least once a year around here. So how, after reading all this stuff posted by what are supposed to be adults, do you think the kids feels? I would guess he feels just fantastic to start with, but now he gets to deal with his "adoring" masses looking at him in disbelief, or worse yet talking about WHY he isn't going to Indy next week. Yes Wrestling is a brutal teacher usually. It has little mercy when it instructs us on the ways of REAL LIFE. So how about we back up off the kids and let their performance inspire us and their accomplishments speak for themselves? C. Pride in ones program and "legacy". Here is the FACTS on this little bone of contention here. I have consistently said that EVERY kids that laces up his wrestling shoes and snaps his headgear is our brother. It is a family of sorts. Like all families there will be bickering and fighting, but there is one very important thing we should ALL remember. KNOW FOR CERTAIN WHO YOU ARE FIGHTING WITH! Some people give everything they have to a program and never wrestle a varsity match. Some are win State multiple times. ALL are your brothers, and sisters these days. One thing that IS important within the dynamic is that sometimes people DO have a better perspective of things given their accomplishments. Think about it this way, being and astronaut is a HUGE accomplishment but being and astronaut that has actually set foot on the moon a couple of times is a HUGE deal. When you are a bus driver, arguing with either type of astronaut is just plain stupid unless it's about how to best get to your next stop. So if you are a parent that has never set foot on a mat (mom's excluded of course, they trump all) then PLEASE don't argue what you know with someone who has actually won at the highest levels. It just makes everything you say sound dumber. D. Accusing people of things. Yep, I am going there. Once again I will say this loud and clear. I know ho certain people are here, and others I don't. What I have seen was funny at first, and then I started to get blamed. If you can't keep your own camp clean, don't try to drag me into the mess. I have seen exactly 3 tourney's this year, and have followed what I could through friends, but honestly people calling someone out because someone else disagrees with you? When did we all end up back in Middle School? I am far to old to listen to the noise. Now - Good Luck to All. Hope everyone is healthy and ready to get this thing going! Let's show everyone what we bring to the table!
