From what I understand the 113lber from Bellmont got the first takedown in his match. He lost by pin in the second...however he WON the match for the team.
That's right JC. But this will put a fire in Leo's 113 and he will soon be on every ones radar. His Jedi master is home from the Navy on leave and will be in the room for the next 2 weeks.

Belmont beat Leo on Dec17 at Leo. The packed house event ended with Belmont needing a pin for a tie...they got it with less than 10sec. left in the last match.
This put the final outcome was 31-31 and they went to criteria. After going down the list of criteria and almost getting to the coin flip Belmont had 2 first takedowns in a row and were awarded 1 team point for criteria.
If you ever have to explain to your wrestlers how every effort counts then this is an excellent example.
WHEN YOU RISE TO THE TOP THE MARGINS ARE RAZOR THIN.

Dunten Vs Davis 3. No matter what the previous results say Boomer will predict later in the week that All the Eastside kids get out but mysteriously none of the Wayne kids will. At 113 a major upset will happen. You won't be able to tell the difference when Mr. Shipley yells Tanner or Heavy Handz yells Hammer. Mr. Woodson will be in attendance. Someone on Garrett's Coaching staff will do a chestbump. Half the kids won't make it out. Someone is going to be mad at me. Concessions will run out of quality protein. Mr Lorraine will lecture me about doughnuts. I'll buy a T-shirt or 4.
I'm just trying to save you one cig and one doughnut at a time. You have an exceptional young champion to role model for.

Isaac Eicher (leo 138) bumped up to defeat Hunter Bates (Adams Central 145) 2-0

I just upload things, unlisted (unsearchable), to Youtube and make a Google Spreadsheet linking each video to wrestler and event. This gets passed around to family and friends who can't go and watch the kids as well as film for us to go through.
I agree with this philosophy. Do not put any stud wrestlers on open source vid feeders....research of style is knowledge for future matches...but college recruiters will need video...make your opponents curious...........unless your Chad Red!

I work with Neil Hudson on the Ft Wayne FD. He is a captain at 17s on Engle Rd. B shift and one of the funniest guys on the dept. He has spent time coaching Ed at a few events. Ask him if you can see his tattoo of Bruce on his shoulder.

Even though it was a #2 vs #3
Armstrong with the SPLADEL over Ferguson!! Wow, crazy match!! This years states finals is the most exciting I've been to yet and were half way through Friday night!!
Did anyone see Loraine about to spladle Turner...until Turner faked an injury to stop the match. 113# mat 1

Pepple by 6 or more.

Having posted multiple things to facebook today I notice most people have no Idea the work, sacrifice, and emotion in this sport. Are we singular (as a wrestler alone on the mat) or a parent or coach) in our passion and understanding of the level of absolute accomplishment that these KIDS have achieved? every one moving on is a 1%

I think Jolas' from Huntington North's dad assists at Wayne
Jolas was 2nd at FW semi and Shaun Johnson of Wayne was 3rd.

Wow...near tears... (Nik's dad and I wrestled together in HS) This is the greatest sport ever...We saw some great sportmanship today at New Haven 10x supers...but noticed that the team that won overall, if any of their competitors lost they tried not too shake their opponents hand or the opposing coaches. said

@ 106 in the Garrett Inivite. Potential #3 Lee v. #7 Pepple...and they are cousins.
Even the #3 seed, Eddie Loraine, has a 22-1 record and will see Pepple in the semi's. Tough tournament for the 106s

In all weight classes there are studs and turds, 106 carries the same quantity as any of the middle weights. If you look at an average mid to late season bracket and the kids in it you will notice that at around 182 and up there are more turds than the lower classes and the true athletes in these higher weights shine. But at 106 there is a substantially greater perponderance of studs than in 285.
