  1. Okay anyone who watched this match knows who the better wrestler was no offense to hie stand or Yorktown but corsaro was the better wrestler it was way to see. He initiated everything. Yorktown stalled so bad! I can't believe the ref didn't even call it once! Corsaro has got second twice this was his year! He was the best wrestler in his weight! He deserved to win and should have so to the ref in no disrespect at all way to kill a kids dream .

I don't think Corsaro wrestled his style at all...he wrestled timid in the finals...he didn't wrestle to win and unfortunately he didn't.

I think 106 goes to Konrath, but Bailey will be in the mix. I really like Red at 120, but I am curious to see him and LaHue. LaHue has a solid defense. I think Red still wins, but I think this could be a possible upset. 145 is going to be a battle between Forte and LeCount. Could go either way. I really hope Gonzalez wins it all a 170, but he might not even make it past Friday night. While I think 170 is wide open for anybody, I think there are six guys that could win this weight. So if those all go the opposite way of your picks, that would give New Castle 4 champs. I think 4-5 are realistic.

I'm a New Castle semi stage guy also but 8 champs from our semi state??? That might be pushing it just a little...

  4. wow, while it is always lopsided, i have it being closer to 32/24

Here are some of my picks that could go either way...the wrestler in caps is my pick

    106: MARKLEY vs Bunch

            WILBURN vs Handley

    113: ROSZELL vs Miller

    120: JENKINSON vs Pace

    126: O'FARROW vs Michaels

            BOGGS vs Marsh

    138: HUMBERT vs Tipton

    145: DECKER vs Oswald

            KILLION vs Lane

    160: STEELE vs Rihm

    170: AMBERGER vs Pope

          AQUINO-MORALES vs Hoots

    182: ORSCHELL vs Robinson

    285: SELM vs Myers

            MINGES vs Alamillo

I'm sure there are others but these were the matches that I had the hardest time picking

  5. The Franklin County/ South Dearborn sectional always seems to advance more wrestlers than the Tri/Shenandaoh sectional does. Based on my predictions, I have Franklin County sectional advancing 40 and the Tri sectional advancing 16.....now that seems pretty lopsided but I think that's within 5 for both sectionals

  6. very cool to look at it that way...probably more accurate just looking at the "top 4". miller did help himself as you said. kell on the other hand, he doesnt care about seeds. he goes in and attacks whoever it is in front of him. he went in last year as a 4 seed and took out the champ from south dearborn sectional (blake wood). he is arguably in the top 3 in that group of 8. he beat tipton fairly easily. tipton and humbert are very close and 1-1 against each other this year. the only one i know that is better than him in that group is cox, now thats only because i havent seen the freshman phenom yet. if he makes it too the finals, he will face cox. if he beats cox, then i will be impressed. until then, that record means nothing and it wont bother kell either lol. lastly, wow 220 is very weak...so weak, i think i might win that myself and i would only have to cut about 3 pounds lmao

220 is down this year for sure, but do not think that Moore for East Central isn't good because of his record. He is solid and should make the finals easy. Miller and Ramahe will battle it out on the other side but I still believe Miller wins this weight class. Just depends if he shows up to wrestle or not

  7. Finals an I hope I have them right

    It is Cavins at 195

  8. Thoughts from last night's TEC tournament: kudos to Coach Briggs, Coach Matthews & the rest of the Union Co folks who did a tremendous job given the circumstances. Congrats to all the wrestlers on their great effort. Congratulations to Centerville on a well deserved TEC title. I had some issues with the officiating, thought it was, at times awful. But it will just seem like sour grapes if I dwell too much on it. Well done  boys, good luck to all in the Sectionals.

I was only there for part f the tournament and spent most the time in the main gym, but compared to the EIAC conference meet, the officiating I saw was stellar! I would swap for any of those guys!!
