    195: Walker Meckes 6th

Rushville finished 6th as a team out of 7 teams

  2. Can someone please explain which brackets they are using - left, center, or right?  Is it dependent on N. Putnam?

We are wrestling each small bracket...think of it as a four man round robin with the 1 seed and 4 seed in together with two drawn in wrestlers...same thing for seeds 2 and 3...each wrestler will wrestle three times in the round robin...the best record from bracket A will wrestle the second best wrestler from bracket B....the second best from bracket A will wrestle the best wrestler from bracket B...the winners will then face off in the finals and the losers wrestle for 3/4. This way every wrestler gets5 matches instead of possibly just 2

  3. Here are a few thoughts from your predictions:

132: Oyler beat Westerfield last weekend....I think 132 might be the most open weight class...tons of possibilities for how this weight class will play out

160: Charlie Hill from Lawrenceburg lost in overtime to Nobbe of Batesville....another kid that could be in the mix of moving on

285: Minges UC has a win over Selm FC, and Lawrenceburg has a win over UC...never know how the big boys will fall though, but lots of depth!

  4. what did cavins wrestle yesterday and who beat him?

Hittle bumped up and beat him 13-2....Hooten from Batesville eat him as well...maybe 7-1?? Guessing on that score though, but I know Hooten won.

Oyler and Westerfield was a good match...Lawrenceburg only had 8 kids, but the 8 that they had were tough!

  5. [*]

    [*]

they shouldnt seed it, but it needs changed. scrap the whole format. cut half the teams out. have super duals of some sort where every single varsity weight class is guaranteed 5 matches friday and 5 matches saturday. everyone gets 10 matches then declare weight class winners. some kids spend 2 full days there and get just 2 matches, maybe 3. those kids sit on sidelines losing interest and only think of going home at that point. Have them wrestling. keep their interest up. keep them working.

The kids should be interested..there are always multiple state placers and usually a state champ or two at this tournament...instead of sitting around doing nothing, they should be watching and learning from those guys...go up and talk to them..we all know how wrestlers are...take something from it...if you want a guaranteed 0-5 instead of 0-2 then go somewhere else instead

  6. 1. Oyler

    2. Tipton

    3. O'farrow

    4. Bane

    5. Broyer

    6. Westerfield

    7. Orschell

    8. Jessup

    IMO

I find it really hard to believe that Westerfield doesn't get out...I think the top four at regionals in no particular order will be Westerfield, O'Farrow, Oyler, Bane

  7. Craft locked hands twice in that match. Which makes the score without those calls 3-2. I don't think that's "whooped". And Craft is at 126 right now. I was told he wants to go 20 for county, conference, and sectionals. He is talented.

Bowers is much improved this year. I don't think Craft would be able to keep it that close this year.

After looking a little closer at these, here is some more input.

106: Wilburn pinned Bunch earlier this season, no way she finished second in the regional.

113: Zach Roszell from Rushville beat Markley pretty soundly this past weekend.

120: Ford beat Moody this past weekend. Pace was a Regional champ last year. He will advance to SS

132: Westerfield beat O'Farrow in a good match. I think people are underestimating him. I like him to win 132.

138: I understand your bias and what you want, but I can't see Killion placing in the top three here. Maybe 4th, but missing this much of the season, its going to be hard

152: I don't think Steele will win. Manning has a fall over him, and I really like Hale.

160: Grant McLaughlin from Rushville pinned Jordan from Centerville, and Nobbe tech falled McLaughlin

170: Amberger looked pretty good this past weekend. I think he will surprise some people. I think he advances to SS

182: Cavins and Shirkey will be a good one, and will happen in the finals, both better than Robinson

    Just some thoughts

  9. That's pretty funny lmao.

First of all, Richmond cannot hang with Centerville in wrestling which is sad considering how much smaller Centerville is. Second, you must not have went to any Connersville open mats cause I saw not only the 3 guys you mentioned there but also killion, Tipton, Calderon, Robinson and others. Where Killion, Tipton and o'farrow like I said, along with gettinger and others would consistently wipe the floor with bane during live wrestling. Tipton and Killion both went to Iowa nationals in the offseason with coach ingalls along with numerous other tournaments. So talk about something you know.

After seeing Tipton this past weekend and seeing Bane last week, I think Bane wins by fall...Tipton is too out of control....he was up big against Tri and found himself on his back several times...I believe he ended up winning by fall, but when you do that against decent wrestlers, you don't get that second chance
