  1. Is it just me, or this not the most unforgiving sport?

I have coached other sports but wrestling is different for some reason.

My high school coach told me I would remember the losses more than I would ever remember the wins.

    He was so right!

The loses always comeback every time I go for a run. I wake up thinking about them.

It just wears me out. For some reason I can't let them go.

Losing hurts worse than winning feels good, but why so much more in wrestling?

I don't know why a lose in wrestling sticks with me more than any other sport I have coached.

I hate losing period, but I just can't keep from going back to the wrestling loses.

I guess its just all the time invested in preparing, the hopes and dreams invested in this sport.

To watch a kid pour his heart into this sport and his dream and then see it come to an end is just devastating

Damn I hate this sport, while at he same time I love it.

I hate the demons of losing, they tear your heart out.

Every time you win your reborn, every time you lose you die a little.

    Very true!
  2. OMG I have never seen such a display of destroying the competition with flare.  This kid is so much better than the competition he faced at Merrillville.  If the other semi states don't bring more to the table at 113 than Merrillville did, then he could win a title with an arm tied behind his back.  He did some of the craziest moves I have ever seen.  His strength, speed, and creativity make him a blast to watch.  I just love watching this kid compete.  Jason Tsirtsis obviously destroyed his competition as devastatingly as Jared did.  Maybe I have come to expect that from him or maybe it is because Jason is not a flashy or cocky wrestler.  Whatever the reason, I came away from Merrillville giving the nod of most valuable wrestler to Jared.  If you weren't at Merrillville, you will see what I mean, you are in for a treat this weekend.

BJames is the real deal could be a great finals match
  3. I haven't even posted on this site and mathewsz7 is not even me (Paul Matthews from Perry Meridian) and never even run my mouth about my personal season, team mates, or anyone on this site so i would appreciate it if you didn't bash on me for not wrestling to your likings - Paul Matthews.

If Mathewsz7 isnt you I appoligize, whoever it is needs to keep me and my son out of there mouth. Thats it Great job to all that continues to move on
  4. I think Perry will get 11 to State, the one that didnt get through to Semi State has the biggest mouth. Goodluck to the rest of the Falcons and WC guys. Also wanted to congradulate Wes Bernard on an amazing year keep it up Wes I wanna see ya under the lights. Also Tommy Cash at the beginning of the year there were doubters He is the real deal Boston better look out, and I believe Brooks vs James is going to be a great finals dont underestimate James he is a stud.

  5. I'll take Ben Stewart as my honoree incoming freshman next year the boy is a Beast also Nick Ellis will do big things.  ;)Good luck these next few weeks to all the Perry Warren and Roncalli wrestlers I have enjoyed being apart of these last 12 years. I'll be updating on the MMA page starting in April the LFC is coming up. :o
