Ok, so since we dont actually have a match for school until after this tournament, we should be good. Or to be on the safe side, should I go ahead and have a form filled out by the AD.

I believe actual practice will have officially started, but it will be before the first day of competition.

If we are going to Vegas, and the actual season starts before then, do I need the AD to sign off on us going to the tournament.

Any projected date for the release of this yrs preseason magazine?

Apparently my brother has decided he wants to go.  Hopefully he does.

Hope to see him there at 163!!!!! Should be a fun weight class to watch!

We had a good time! All the kids had great chemistry and got along amazing and all seemed to have a blast!! Great group of kids! And for the record, layton binion is a complete machine! I was impressed with all the kids, but binion was a blast to watch!

This will be the first yr austin wont be competing in 12 yrs:( prom is the same night, guess you have to let them be kids  when they want.

Thanks! From the mccloskey family. Austin had a great tournament not giving up a single point. Most disappointing part of the day was at the awards when the 2nd and 3rd place kids dont show up for the podium and pictures. Needless to say i wasnt suprised to see this after the sportsmanship displayed after the matches. But winning a tournament of this caliber and the picture is missing 2 of the top 3 finishers just kinda stinks. Just my opinion. On the positive side, we got to see youtube sensation steve o (the little kid from pa with the mohawk) wrestle....kids a beast ;D

I see bradley under the lights again to defend his title. The kid wont settle for less in my opinion.

Well, if the IHSAA allowed wrestlebacks, you wouldn't have the question of "who is better" because when you don't have an opportunity to wrestle it off, that's what happens. If a wrestler gets a better draw, well you know the rest...

 

For example? 106 and 113...BLUE takes GOLD IMO. All are great wrestlers, don't get me wrong, it's just my opinion.

Mccloskey placed 3rd as a sophmore this yr at 152....he will be in contention for the title next yr.

This is by far austins favorite tournament! Runs really well. Lots of elite wrestlers, same mat all day.  The highest he has placed is 4th ( i think) and that day we had over 50 in his wgt class, wrestled 7 times and was done before 4pm. If you miss out on this tournament your missin out on an amazing day. Lots of college recruits, free admission to spectators....its just all around one of the best tournaments competition wise and timely wise. If you read the t of c home page lots of fargo champs and other big national tournament champs have never won this tournament. I would suggest this tournament to anyone looking for an elite national tournament...of course this is just my opinion.

We also was at op camp with coach powell. This is an amazing person and coach who still keeps in contact to follow my sons career.  What an insperation and great guy. The respect his wrestlers have for him is amazing. It was an experience that my son and i will never forget. He left an impact on my son from 2 days that will stick with him forever.

There were some amazing semi and finals matches today! Great day of wrestling! I can see most of the top 4  from this sectional also being the top 4 coming out of the northmont regional. Like i said most....there will def be a few good ones coming out of the crawfordsville sectional moving on also.

Zionsville has 14 ranked in top 16...plus some other very solid wrestlers.

It has been told that Jamie Bolinger will be in attendance at the zionsville sectional this weekend! how exciting to know we get blessed with his presence!!! ;D
