Plus many others that could be on top like macri, loe, Scott, Stewart, lee....will be a fun yr!

  2. Best of luck to Austin in his senior year. His match with Hughes at state surprised me and he was clearly the aggressor in the championship match.

thanks man, he is working out hard, gettin big, and very strong. Purdue has got him wrestling super aggressive, he isn't being very nice about it either, I dont see him settling for anything less then a state title! And thanks for the the kind words!!

  3. Brian Harvey started at 106 and ended up winning state at 160 last year. That's a pretty big weight jump.

that's probably the biggest jump I have heard, just makes ya wonder how much weight some of these kids are really cuttin. I know Austins freshman yr it was hell!!! Since then, he will not cut but only a few pounds. This year will be fun to see where everyone ends up.

  4. Just like seeing how these kids grow over the years,

I know my son Austin Mccloskey started out at 135 as a freshman, then 152 as a sophomore, 160 as a junior, and will be at 182 as a senior. That's 6 weight class jumps over his high school career, does that seem average, above average, just wanting to get some thoughts.

Team Indiana Zeal in PA this past weekend looked good and fought their butts off. I was very proud of they way they wrestled and represented theirselves and the state of Indiana. They finished 4-2 on the day. One loss was a tie that went down to most pins and because we had a FF we came up short.  The 2nd loss was by 1 point. I HATE FF. Drew Hildebrandt, Tommy Cash and Austin McCloskey all went 6-0 for the weekend and Blake Glogouski, Brock Hudkins and Randy Scott finished with only 1 loss. Everyone wrestled well, next stop Virginina Beach!

Awesome time, with some very good comp!! Never a dull moment when you have this crew together!!

  6. The team is competing in PA this Saturday and due to an injury, we are in need of either an 185# or 195# for this weekend.  The spot will go 1st come, 1st serve.  You are responsible for getting yourself to the dual and back.  If you are interested please email me at cashmom2x@gmail.com or call me 317-281-3678

    Brandi Cash

we got it filled spazz!!! So just relax, would be cool if you would post the roster on here for all our fellow Hoosiers to see!! All I know is who the #175 is:)

  7. I heard Cottey-113, James-126,  LeCount-132, Harvey-138, cosaro-152, Mccloskey-160, Benard-285..... I believe these are all Indiana gold team members, not sure on the rest..any help! Sounding pretty solid, now if I could fill in the blanks

  8. I figured there would be talk of it somewhere on here. Didn't Indiana win it last year? What are the teams looking like this year? Being only 2 weeks away and still not hearing anything bout it.

ya, my son is on the team, and I haven't heard or received anything yet on info... And everyone I have talked to has not heard anything either....if anyone has any info please post it so we can try to make plans on when we need to be there etc......

  9. You should be ashamed. As a Perry alum, I am going to stand up for Riley. Have you ever wrestled a match in front of 12,000 people? I doubt it. You're a coward criticizing a high schooler on a public forum. Pathetic. Riley had never been to state, therefore I know he was beyond nervous wrestling Friday night. He told me afterwards that it felt like he was breathing from the neck up, which is understandable for a kid who has never wrestled on a stage of that size. If you go back and watch the film, the first edge of the mat scramble McClurg had a wizzer and had both of his hips up. Read the rule book, a wrestler must be given reaction time. And if you are thinking of the second scramble, there was obviously no control. Riley was almost doing the splits on the edge of the mat while Austin had one leg - no control. At the end of the day, Riley has a blue ring and you are a cowardly adult hiding behind a computer. In my mind, if you win a state title you can do whatever you like. You're the best in the state and you'll go down in the history books as an IHSAA state champion. Austin is a great wrestler and the two matches he and Riley had were a treat to watch. I wish Austin and his family the best of luck, for he has a bright future ahead of him.

    GO FALCONS!!!

thanks sir! Wish riley the best at the next level also....to who ever it concerns, none of the remarks made on this link or on Indiana mat at all are from our family. I'm tired of seeing it and hearing it also..lol, it ended like it did, and that's that...congrats, please every one let it rest. And I thank riley for giving Austin the extra drive for next yr, he keeps doing what he is doing right now, and I wouldn't want to step across that line next yr!! Austin will get his next yr!!! Have a great offseason everyone, and looking forward to next season!!!

    .                  The Mccloskey family

  10. that's really the worst part of it.....a lot of families are vacationing at that time....i guess the hard core kids are the ones that make it there.....

if it was my choice I would eat the $1500 I already paid for vacation, but sometimes I let my wife make decisions...it makes her feel important!

  11. What are some better tournaments in the Off season? I know a lot of Indiana kids don't travel that much. But what would be worth traveling to?
