  1. True, but I still believe 119 will be the toughest weight at state.... It is too deep. Friday night will be, as always, very exciting.. a lot of great match ups and barn burners!
  2. This is very interesting. I went through all of the brackets for the state tourney and found the kids with 2 losses or less in each weight class in an attempt to assess which weight class, on paper, was the toughest. Obviously if you make it to state you have to be a pretty darn good wrestler; however some weight classes seem to be less competitive than others. Which weight is the TOUGHEST weight at State? Take a look at what I found. 103 Cody Phillips 41-0 Jared Brooks 34-1 Paul Petrov 45-0 112 Kyle Ayersman 36-1 Brendan Campbell 52-1 Logan Randle 41-1 Bryan Kuhn 42-1 Paul Beck 44-1 Jared McKinley 45-2 Steven Gonzalez 32-2 119 Brandon Nelson 40-1 Tony Lovejoy 42-0 Josh Keifer 38-2 Danny Bradley 37-0 125 Anthony Napules 38-1 Justin Keifer 36-2 Ethan Raley 34-1 Jordan Hicks 45-2 Derek Bevans 51-0 Brandon Wright 29-2 John Petrov 40-2 130 Jason Tsirtsis 38-0 Connor Mullins 55-0 Shawn Miracle 39-1 Nick Schrader 40-2 Devon Jackson 50-0 135 Brannigan Barlow 40-1 Brock Norton 35-0 Austin Walte 29-1 Mason Berryman 33-0 Blake Rueger 42-2 140 Josh Martin 29-1 Frankie Porras 38-1 Justin Beck 33-2 145 Patrick Robinson 29-0 Josh Sampson 44-2 Eric Roach 37-0 Doug Welch 45-0 Montrall Johnson 45-1 Luquan Lunford 43-1 152 Chad Welch 45-0 Tanner Lynde 43-2 Sam Bennett 38-0 Zach Corpe 33-2 Quincy Richey 33-1 160 Trey Reese 36-0 Cameron Vlahos 51-2 Tyler Willis 40-1 Zac McCray 41-0 Sean McMurray 38-0 Ryan Kolb 37-2 171 Jackson Bratcher 35-0 Ryne Bell 39-1 Jeff Weiss 45-2 Michael Duckworth 46-0 Drake Stein 40-2 Jordan Hamilton 34-2 Andy Wiseman 44-2 189 Mitch Sliga 41-2 Branden Atwood 45-0 Ibragim Komilov 21-2 Alex Rosebrock 42-2 Taylor Scott 40-2 Michael Johnson-Jones 40-1 Travis Thatcher 40-1 215 Nate Cleveland 38-0 Dylan Froehilch 45-1 Dylan Green 48-0 Evan Wooding 37-0 Christian Lentz 43-2 285 James Travis 41-0 Dylan McBride 45-1 Tyler Daughtery 42-2 Ross Janey 48-0 119,125, 171, and 189 seem to be tied with 7 people (the most people with the least losses) I also believe they have the most studs.
