  3. I agree with others that say GSP is a little too small to simply "add 15 pounds of muscle" and be just as good at 185 as he is at 170.  At some point you receive diminishing returns when your quickness and reach advantage are sacrificed.  For example, I think anyone 5'8" or shorter should really be at 155 or below to maximize ability.  At 5'10", I think 170 is right where GSP should be for maximum dominance (190 and ripped walk-around weight).  Still not saying he couldn't beat Silva, though.

GSP's head trainer, Firas Zahabi, has already come out and said if GSP is to move up, he most likely won't be adding any more weight. He was at 195 for his last fight, and he doesn't think he can keep his speed if he adds any more muscle. For his frame, he's pretty much maxed out. He did say that if he were to fight Silva, that they would probably look to get up to 205 to help in controlling Silva on the ground.

  4. Unsportsmanlike conduct is not okay during the game, just afterwards.

I see you're putting words in my mouth. I don't think i ever said it was okay, or that it wasn't. I simply was pointing out that using football and basketball as the standard doesn't really apply. If he did this with time on the clock, and his opponent still on the mat (Caldwell's flip a couple years ago) I can see the comparison, but as i stated earlier, I don't think you've ever seen someone called for celebrating after the game was over in football or basketball.

  5. While I wasn't offened in any way by his celebration, I do feel as through it might have been uncalled for. The NCAA punishes football and basketball players from celebrating in similar ways: why not wrestling as well? Personaly, I think a little celebration, such as jumping into your coach's arms or pointing your supporters in the stands, is alright. But Jenkin's celebration was much more than that.

Have you ever seen a football or basketball player punished for celebrating after they won a national championship?

  6. I sat right in front of Alex Tsirtsis while Jason was wrestling in the championship. Alex was yelling instructions out to Jason that were extremely informative. Then, right after Jason won, Jason stood there giving Roach instructions. Alex and Jason sounded exactly alike. That family knows their wrestling.

I was also close by to that. That was pretty cool
