  1. Great job Montrail! You worked very hard this year and in the off season and it has definitely paid off by finishing 6th at 145. Keep on working hard and you will acheive your goal of wrestling under the light. So congradulations Montrail. We are all really proud of you.

-From your teammates, friends and coaches.

  2. Sometimes being the most devoted, hardworking guy in the state isn't enough. Executing at the right time is important too. Being a gamer. Darren Elkins was the hardest working individual i had ever seen in my life and he was only a one time champ.

"ONLY" a one time champ? lol that  is a pretty spectacular accomplishment if you ask me. but I defintely agree with you on needing the ability to "be a gamer". If you can't step your game up and wrestle to your best ability in the big match, you will never make it anywhere in wrestling.

  3. Well i've never won state and i probably won't do it this year. but if i were to guess as to what it takes to be a state champion, I would say you simply have to be willing to work harder and devote more time to your sport than anyone else in the state... And a whole lot of natural atheltic ability probably wouldn't hurt  ;D

  4. At Pendleton -

103 -Riley Newkirk  Lawrence Central (31-8) vs Zach Wise Pendleton Heights (34-5)

215 -Wright Tech (30-3) vs Smart Lapel (27-4)

Also at 140 the match between Specht of Noblesville and Edwards for North Central should be good. At 285 the match between Warner from Tipton and Stone from Tech could be very good. Warner looked great at sectionals and I don't know much about Stone. Good Luck to everyone this Saturday.

  5. You go Mike,I'm pulling for you as i said earlier.Gregg#1,Achenbach#1,Sylvester#1....Time will tell...YOU have to be ready .....Think about it..

. . . . wonder where your from? Lol just kidding. Good luck to everyone tomorow! This could end up being a very memorable year for the teams of this sectional. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

  6. Ok WeeMom. You made your picks so now i shall make mine...

at 103- I have the PH kid winning it. Saw him wrestle at the Tipton tourney and he looked tough.

at 112- Todd PH... I don't see anyone  beating him lol.

119- I think Anderson from TC will beat Lanning from Alexandria.

    125- Eshelman. No conest lol.

130- I think this one is between Walker and Burton. Should be a good one.

135- Berryman is the clear favorite but i think Pyke from TC may suprise some people. When he is at his best, he is tough. I just think Berryman better not take his opponent lightly.

140- Yes, Alley did win last year but Buck from TC pinned him the following weekend at regional. So going on that I'm saying that the winner of Alley and Buck will win the weight class. . . I'm picking Buck.

145- Johnson from TC. He hasn't lost yet and i don't see it happening this week.

    152- Sammy Bennet!

160- I'm Picking Gregg of Anderson. He looked tough last year and he should win it without too much trouble this year.

171- Kevin Moates! He is one heckuva wrestler.

189- I'm gonna say Holpuch of Noblesville.

215- I'm calling the upset and taking J.R. Smart to beat Smitherman for the title.

285- This weight is WIDE OPEN. I'm picking Prohl since he is the #1 seed. BUt i wouldn't be suprised to see any of the top 5 win it.

  7. Bloomington South...come on coaches chime in.

    Done this for 4 years!

My son and I get up at 4am to make "Fritatas". Picture this.

A large 12 x 30 aluminum pan. Bottom covered with 5 pounds of fried potatoes and onions. Next a layer of grilled and sliced Italian sausage. Then a mixture of 100 eggs, cream, fresh mozzarella and cheddar cheese and fresh basil.

We usually make 3 (yes 300 eggs) one we add Jaleponeos (never could spell that) for the spicy bunch.

A little sour cream and Tabasco sauce and it will fuel ya.

Of course I am a little prejudice.

    ...WOAH!  :)
