  1. ok, to clear this situation up this is what happen for what i can remember. After the illegal slam call the ref informed us about every 30 seconds or so how much time we had left. last i remember was the ref telling us we had 20 seconds left. austin kept telling us he wanted to continue but it was obvious to us that this wasnt gonna be possible. once austin was to his feet the ref started blood time cause his nose was bleeding. we could tell austin could not continue allthough HE seemed to think he could (very competitive kid). at that time coach made the call that he would not continue the match, and austin said he did not want to win like that, so we injury defaulted. hope this help's clear up that nothing was illegal of how the match ended. also thanks everyone for the kind words about my son. it means alot.

  2. well said coach loge! it was a privelage for austin to be able to wrestle for you this yr. we are looking forward to watching austin develope under your wing. we appreciate all your hard work. the next 3 yrs should be a great ride!!

  3. He is doing fine, just a little stiff and a little bummed. Austin would have continued if we would of let him. But as you could see he was in no condition to do so, but it is what it is, and we ( austin, me his father, and coach  loge) all know it was not intentional. im not saying it would of changed the outcome of the match at all, he just would of liked to have gotten to wrestle justin to measure what level we are at, but he's got 3 more yrs to hopefully make his mark on the sport. justin is a good kid, and we wish you the best of luck next week. we will be there watchin!!!

  5. my son austin can not wrestle in the folkstyle state this yr for the first time in 10 yrs because he is a cadet and cadets wrestle on saturday and we have our middle school conference the same day. i know we are not the only ones affected by this. i was wondering why the iswa cant have schoolboy and cadets on sunday, that would eliminate this problem. there are many potential state champs that cant wrestle in the state ffinals, kinda a real bummer.

  6. great day it was nice to be out before 11pm.  great job Austin Mccloskey 2nd at 140, got beat in the last 8 seconds 3-4 against Vincent Cosaro, also great job jeff scott on 3rd place at 140, kellen VANCHEST 7th at 85, and congrats Vincent Cosaro on your 2nd MS State title, that was a fun match to watch! Great Wrestlers, great sportmanship, great match!
