  1. i kno this was not under the lights but what about Evansville memorials Matt Prasek...he lost friday night but his singlet was the coolest singlet i have ever seen....it had a picture of the front of memorial on the back of the singlet....its amazing how singlets have come so far.

  2. this has nothing to do with the merryville semi-state...but i kno the evansville regional has been at roberts sadium for the last 8 years or so maybe a bit longer....but my question is where was it before it was in evansville...cause i had a brother that wrestled back in the late 90s and i dont remember going to roberts stadium.....and why was it move?    .....but i love evansville semi-state food is the only thing thats over priced..but thats what you get with a big venue like roberts stadium.

  3. I would imagine that the elite wrestlers have overall a very high GPA.  There are a lot of "wrestlers" in "programs" who don't work hard.  When you hear the semistate at Evansville finals you generally hear lots of very high GPAs included in the introductions.

I agree..i feel the reson why the elite wreslters have such a high GPA is because they know what it takes to work hard in the classroom first....then that hard work pays off on the mat...you dont become a good wrestler by being lazy and not putting in the work...im sure there is the exception but i feel like thats a good reason why a lot of good wrestlers have good grades.

  4. Harmon has to get a lot of credit as coach.  Warren and Castle 103 were pinned last time and lost in OT and by 1 point.  Daughtery 215 in first year of wrestling revenged earlier loss.  The guy can coach.

daughtery wrestled frshman year and in middle school......i wonder why he quit until now?  i wonder if it was because he couldnt beat rosebrock or robinson?  anyone have any answers on that

  5. 140 Meurer is a toss up for sure a lot of tough opponents

125 Do not rule Heohn out he dominated McElhaney last week end after lossing to him earlier in the year as well

135 And why do so many people think that Konrath can't beat Weinzapfel

    103 Hall vs Vanhook

    112 Kuhn vs Wedding

119 Moody vs toss up for this spot

    125 Henderson vs Heohn

    130 Meliff vs Dowdy

    135 Rueger vs Konrath

140 Chamberlian vs toss up (Meurer or Steele)

    145 Sims vs Voegel

    152 Marshall vs Boyle

    160 Brandenstein vs Schnieder

    171 Boots vs Schnarr

    189 Price vs Sandwith

    215 Ruebenacker vs VanWinkle

    285 Wimpleburg vs Hammelman

And yes I'll side the close matches to Mt. Vernon same as Jon H wold do for Reitz, of course there is favortism

Rubenacker and vanwinkle are on the same side of the bracket so i dont think you will see them in the 215 finals

  6. Centrals 119 was beating memorial by 2 or 3 i think and got caught and pinned.

memorials 119 (quinton) was never losing that match.  He wrestled one of his worst matches of the season and was up by 5 when he pinned the kid.  i think he will beat him worse if they meet again.  But thats just my thought could get proved wrong

  7. does anyone have indivdual results or am i going to have to wait to see in the paper tomorrow?  If thats if they even report on wrestling haha.  the evansville paper is awful at doing stories on wrestling.
