Brenden, you're a state champion in my eyes. Good luck at Navy.

Blake first of all congrats on your State-Title, you were always one of the toughest wrestlers I seen. Just don't seem that long ago you guys wrestling against each other in C.Y.O. Hope your parents are doing well. Best of Luck
You would have some insight on this. What did it feel like wrestling in a mult-class tourney? Did you like how Indiana ran its tournament? Or do you favor Georgia multi-class?
Thank you! I'm glad I didn't have to go through any of the Kiefers!
It has its ups and downs. First, I like the how the team series is classed. It gives an opportunity for the smaller schools to win a state championship. I don't really like how the individual series is classes though. I want to be able to say I was the best 135lb in the state, not the best AAAAA in the state. However, the best kids in the state all transfer to AAAA in order to get better competition and a better opportunity to go on to college. I would say that most of the AAAAA state champions would/have beat all of the other classes.

I couldn't have done it without all the Cathedral coaching staff, Coach Pendoski, and all of the Indiana wrestlers that I have wrestled. Thanks to you all.

An interesting aside: How about a Sean McGinley vs. Lance Ellis (a 1986 Cathedral wrestling room re-match) match.
That would have to be a 189lb match, Lance has been doing alot of 12oz curls over the years. lol
Coach McGinley hasn't put on his wrestling shoes in 10 years haha

Ty is tough as nails. It's unfortunate that he was not able to get a individual state title, but he's got three football state titles! Kick ass this weekend at Center Grove and get what you deserve.
