  1. The Arm and Triangle is, with out question, illegal. The intent is to cut off blood to  the brain via the arteries on the left and right side  of the neck . Carodid Arteries are the criticl blood supply to the brain. MMA fighers know  this and will "TAP OUT". High School wrestlers are often not aware of what they are doing, and some coache as well as refs. Some coaches are playing Russian Roullette with this stuff looking for 6 points and hoping nothing bad happens. Big Mistake.  Ask the "GrecoRef " he is one official I have seen consistently stop this.

ocsar im not sure what you r looking at the move as shown is legal the rule bood at rule 7 section 1 illegal holds art5 a says a headlock in which the arms or hands are locked aroundthe opponets head without encircling and arm (elbow or above) the picture swhon has the top mans arms encircling the head with an arm above the elbow is it potential dangerous yes but not illegal

and for you guys talking about the anaconda you need to come up north the refs up here call it they get down and look for it

  2. do the colour of the shirts matter? as an official yes it does most strip shirts are grey at the end of the day any way why not start there  the strips are hard to keep clean most shoools do such good job of keeping there mats clean bethween rounds lol fans wakin gon the mats with there streat shoes the strips pick up all that dirt and show it  most sports are moving towards the grey for many of the rreasons littlejohn stated on a fashion note i think we look beter in them and thinner

  3. Indiana won.  i think the score was 31-28 but I could be off by a little.  Illinois didn't bring a 112 or a 189.  Mark myers from CP won OW.  Dillion might of had the best match of the night.  He lost 3-2 and the guy from Illinois didn't really do anything on top or bottom.  Kinda strange that there wasn't a stalling,  fleeing the mat, or locking hands penalty the whole meet.  No cautions or penalty points in anyway

mr right were you there there were several warnings for stalling at least 2 fleeing the mat calls and several cautions for false starts  though you are right there where no locked hands call though elite wrestlers rarely lock hands  In the dillion match he really didnt do anything either on the top or bottom

  4. No doubt Quiroz came to Wrestle, however last time I checked the way Quiroz dropped Stein was called a "slam".  Ya know, where the feet are clearly taken over the head??  Hat's off to Quiroz for wrestling tough, but he should have lost that match, that is if the ref's actually called by the rules.  Congrats to Stein as well, Great Season this year.  Look for both of these guys to up there with all the contenders next year....very impressive underclassmen at a 152 weight class ruled by juniors & seniors.

wallybird not sure what your talking about here i saw the move and though it was just region wrestling what does the feet over the head have to do with anything the rule book at rule 7 1 1 states a slam is lifting and returning an opponent to the mat with unnecessary force nothing about foot placement who lands first what lands first just unnecessary force could it be that you are just partial to mr stein

  5. why is the official to blame an official makes a "close" call at the end of a match fleeing or stalling and everyone seems to think the official decided the match what about the kid who stalled or fleed do you not want the official to give a takedown with 2 seconds to go as it might decide the match of course not the kid earned the takedown the same with a stalling or fleeing call from my 40 years watchin this sport most of the time a when a kid gets hit with stall or a fleeing call at the end of the match the kid earned it

  6. awood2 not to argue with a ref of your statuare all sports can be effected by the actions of one ref in diving everthing is subjective did the diver hit the water square how big was the splash was rotation full  one ten point can mean the difference between the top spot and not medalling gymnatsics is the same yet those sports dont allow scratching a ref

  7. i really dont understand why the ishaa allows refs to be scratched  what other sport allows it  none that i know of  the refs as ss & st aare supposed to the best the state has  if there the best then there should no be any scratches the finals are not seeded there a random draw and sho should be refs the only people who should be able to scratch are refs to many times i have heard he is a good ref but i dont wnat him to work my matchs

if a coach thinjks a ref is not the right for his matchs dont vote him there
