the answer is no.plain and simple.he's just too explosive, to strong, to long, to fast.....he's too good for anyone in the 170lb class

i know porras and peco from hobart are going along with some people from mville like garcia,napules,travis and a few others.

I don't think anyone is taking anything away from Quiroga at all.  I pointed out to my son that it would be fun to watch Quiroga square off againt Jason Tsirtsis right now.  He would more than likely tech fall if not pin Tstirtsis and please don't take this as a slap at Tsirtsis it's just that Quiroga has been practicing and wrestling against the best of the best for the last 9 months and obviously doing more than holding his own.  Quiroga is a true success story for Indiana h.s. wrestling but, with the benfit of hindsight, it should really come as no surprise when you consider how he wrestled his Senior.  That guy ran from no one and routinely bounced up to face better competition.  With that attititude he should be an ncaa champ before it's all said and done.

he beat cashe last year...ive been watching mr. quiroga wrestle on big ten network and as you stated qualified as a true freshman..dont you think cashe might have gotten a TINY bit better? like i said jason and cody are both awesome wrestlers. i believe cody can be just as dominant in the higher weight classes as he has been the past 2 years, as will jason.

i dont see why so many people are saying tsirtis is a lock for 4x and phillips is not. Phillips has been more dominant in his 2 years of winning state than tsirtis has.but lets not think i am bashing tsirtis at all! he is an amazing wrestling. But i do believe phillips has as much of a chance to win 4 state titles as tsirtis does. phillips is a complete monster. Tsirtis does control the whole match but i just feel like Phillips controls and dominates the whole match. both are phenomenal wrestlers and i hope they both win 2 more state championships.

people come on..is this really affecting you all? it cannot be eating away at you inside this badly. i wasnt there but yeah doing a planned dance does seem out of line but its nothing to sanction a kid about.these type of things happen and will continue to happen for years to come.we might as well get used to it now so we are not shocked in the years to come. so in conclusion haha:.......dancing= out of line....a board topic thrashing a kid=also out of line

For sure. Jackson is a trooper. And with them both being sophmores, there is a chance of a little bit of a rivalry brewing between the two.

idk man.brian just pinned medina at the NCC tourney.they are both top notch wrestlers..but i just think brian is a step ahead

1-Porras.i think he has a chance to just run away with this entire thing.all he does is work for takedowns and turns.and when he cant turn you, he just makes you work to your feet, then takes you down.all but 2 of his matches have been total domination, and it was the same kid both matches.so we'll see

Yeah if Merriville 135 blanks Fort Waynes 135 I will fight a bear in a back alley in Indionapolis.  It is not going to happen they may have an outside shot to win two matches, but it is more likely 1 or zero.  If the semi state draws work out where they get the right individuals down to conseco it is over for Merriville at 135.  Your best got beat by both Fort Waynes lower ranked guys. 

Merriville gets all high and mighty all year, so don't you tell me I am being bitter about this one.  Your cocky and arrogant and you have every right to be your the best in indiana, but not at 135.

Hate to say it but these matches wouldn't be that great.  The third and forth best 135 pounder from Fort Wayne beat Guerra which is Merrillville's highest rated wrestler on the state rankings.  You and everyone else is also forgetting that Fort Wayne has another ranked wrestler C Zinc from woodland.  He whooped up on a Winzapal kid from Matre Dei and kept it pretty close with Norton.  I am hoping Fort Wayne draws Merriville Friday night, because there will be 4 less Merriville kids placing after it.

0-0 in the first.guerra rides him out the whole 2nd.guerra got a stand up in the 3rd i think? and they basically just fought for position the rest of the match...1-0.
