Oh, my bad......Just had to give Dekalb some props.....You know, I'm like that....2 Dekalb wins. And what is this maybe stuff?
-
I predict many East Noble wins........Oh, and maybe one Dekalb win......Again, without seeing these kids wrestle the last two years.....
-
Yes, crazy things happen like, "Who are these refs?" Oberlin, don't hate on the rockies man....will be down for the buffalo hunt soon......
-
Prediction, without seeing anyone wrestle this season or last.......East Noble.....Go Blue!
-
Great job guys! Way to go Knights!
-
Report on East Noble kids only....if you can that is Go Blue!
-
And from what I saw East Noble didn't have many of their starters in the line-up. At least according to the box scores.
-
You wrestle until the ref blows his whistle. I cannot think of any coach that doesn't preach that to their men. Also, why couldn't you score a takedown in two seconds? I think a low single would be a legit attempt. It might be despiration but it is possible to score in two seconds. If not, at least you went down trying giving 100% of yourself during the match. Then again, they are just kids. How clearly did we think when we were teenagers? Me, not so much. LOL

Well put Mr. Administrator. Weber is very flexible and can do what I as a coach calls "the forbidden sin of wrestling" by reaching back for the head. When I wrestled many (blank) ago we had a young man on our team who could do the same. It always made for an exciting match and you could never count the kid out until the final whistle blew.

I will keep it quiet with Franklin and the others that I could mention. This is going to be an exciting season to be a part of. Not that last season wasn't. First state champion and all.
-
Franklin from Homestead should be in there at 112 or 119. I also believe that East Noble will have a few surprises that make it into the rankings by the first of the year. But we will have to see.

Anything that says, "All You Can Eat".

It would have been in Howe's favor had the official forced some action out of his opponent. Should have been more than a warning in my opinion. Great year for Howe though. Very immpressed.

Isn't that the way most coaches are? I am on the edge of my seat every match personally. Sometimes I am stretched on the floor. I try to give every once of energy I have for our kids out there on the mat. There are some very calm coaches who very seldom rasie their voice. There are some who talk through every move on the mat. Then there are some like Barry, who have an extreme passion for the sport in the way his coaching style is. I think having a mic on the collar of his shirt would have been nice rather than the large cucumber but it gave the audience a look of what is going through a coaches head while a wrestling match is going on. It takes a special breed...... 8)

Looks like all of northern Indiana was shut out. No love for the northeast.

I noticed the drop off when Freestyle and Greco changed the rules drastically. I can't pinpoint the date but it is when the pushout rule started and the best out of three period rule started. That was the year I saw a big dropoff in numbers. When my son wrestled freestly he would have 30-40 kids at state and when the rules changed the numbers were cut in half. Just my opinion.

My story is pretty hard to follow. Back in the 60's my mom and dad were playing "house" and I was created. I was given my fathers last name, Funk.
-
Keep up the great work guys. It is awesome having you guys in the field for us.
-
Gosh how could I forget Shire of East Noble. Duh! Yes, he came out of nowhere and placed second last year. He was almost our 1st state champ. Great athlete and kid.
-
Another cool fact about Brock Norton is that he didn't wrestle varsity all of his sophomore year. I think he earned the varsity spot late in the year. So basically he was JV 1/2 the year last year and #3 in the state this year. Very talented kid.

I for one must say that the March/Sanderfer celebration for winning the Mental Attitude award was the best celebration for me. Also I, being a former break dancer back in the day, would like to add that Sanderfer was doing what we called the "helicoptor". He would have put me to shame but I was more of a "pop n lock" kind of dancer. LOL

I predict anyone from East Noble winning it all as well as the team trophy.......Favoritism, maybe...... ;D
