Vinny won 21-6
-
Vinny is a great wrestler and has a VERY good chance of winning a state title this year. The coaches voted on the John Hurrle Outstanding Wrestler Award, and it was a close vote 5-4. Not to mention that Hendon had all pins on the day and is a former two City Runner up. The last time the a Cathedral wrestler had won the OW was Tyler Willis. I believe that was three years ago.
All pins that day and two time runner up>four time champion, all pins and techs for four years.....inequality doesn't really work out...hmm.

Funny how the only four time city champion there who literally pinned or tech'ed every single person he wrestled in four years at the city tournament somehow didn't win most outstanding wrestler. I know that it's never a Cathedral kid, but this one is a little laughable.

After the head to head contact, he briefly lost consciousness and woke up when he was on his back. Hence the fighting on his back. He's back from the hospital. No concussion thankfully, and no spinal injury which was a concern due to the pain in his back, but he'll be good to go in a week or so. These things happen in a physical sport such as wrestling. Excited to see a rematch, as I'm sure Vinny is excited as well.

mike venesia is making his first state appearence and has beaten some quality wrestlers the last three years.
he's a great wrestler but there is no way he belongs in this thread. that being said, i hope he crushes this weekend. I'll be rooting for him.

I hope he draws Ayersman.
that would be insane

in regards to cradles: don't feed the trolls.

Shouldn't he leave everything on the mat? In all seriousness congrats to getting through to Conseco. You have a great style of wrestling, and you are a blast to watch. Good luck.

another topic that should just go away

Just want to publicly congratulate my little brother for making it to state. You have worked your ass off all year and it has paid off. You wrestled the tournament of your young career at New Castle this past weekend. 135 is a tough weight class for a freshman to make it this far, especially with the way the new castle SS shaped up. You had a tough ticket round matchup and it would have been easy to count yourself out but you went out and earned your berth at conseco. It's been a pleasure to watch you develop as a wrestler over the years and the sky is the limit for you. I can't wait to watch you do some wrasslin' this weekend. I'm proud of you.

i would like to congratulate dominic corsaro for a hell of a season and individual career. It's been really cool to watch you get involved in wrestling as an 8th grader and see the accomplishments you achieved. It was a pleasure drilling with and being on the same team as my brother and I am proud when i see you wrestle. Great job and finish out strong at team state in two weeks. I can't wait to watch it.

Cashe Quiroga (who is an AMAZING wrestler, by the way...) is supposedly the No. 1 P4P wrestler in Indiana right now (according to the P4P rankings on this site.) when on the Home Page of this site there is an interview with Cashe where he states Josh Harper was he greatest competition in High School thus far due to the fact the The Harp defeated him four times....No love for Harp?
in the grand scheme of things...does it really matter?

Dominique Price and Brian Harvey will be a very good matchup in the finals.
doubt it.

Same as it ever was. Whenever a private school does well, and certain ones more so than others, there's the inevitable thread about recruiting or, apparently the new buzz word, "move ins". We should definitely try and complain and try and fix it with our internet arguments.
