  2. I just heard (and I know Yorktown fans will disagree) that Armantrout should have beat Bevans. Bevans won 3-2, but during the match, when Armantrout was leadin 1-0, Armantrout threw Bevans in a headlock, to his back, near the out of bounds line and as the ref blew the whistle Bevans got on top and the ref gave Bevans 2 points and none for Armantrout. And the top 4 at 125 were:

    1. Bevans(Y) 3-2 over

    2. Armantrout(MS)

    3. Sterling(DE) 7-0 over

    4. Kohler(MuC)

    @ 130 Jackson(Y) pinned Crabtree(MuC) in the finals

I was there and  it happened like that but it was a good day of wrestling, good luck to all wrestlers moving on.

  5. Class wrestling will not hurt this state.

Growing up a basketball guy in a small school I still  hated the change to class ball, and probably still do.......that being said I think class wrestling would be good in the long run. I have a good friend that helps coach my son that grew up in Michigan (multi state champ) and he says it will turn Indiana wrestling around. The fact that you have more kids exposed to the sport, more feeder programs starting, more wrestlers getting involved coaching.......he actually has me convinced.

Bingo, this state needs it. This sport needs it. Good luck tspray1

  6. i know for a lot of you younger folks you may not remember the clint eastwood movie 'pale rider'  but as far as western goes its one of my all time favorites.  in the movie  eastwood really didnt have a name but he was a gunfighter and a b.a. posing as a preacher who strolled into this town that was having troubles and basically  he "cleans house".  i dont know how but i guess a few people saw some correlations between the character he played and me although i am neither a gun fighter or a b.a.  or a preacher for that fact but it stuck.  for those of you who do remember the flick:  "nothing like a good piece of hickory."    ;)

One of the all time great Clint Eastwood movie, "those eyes yea those eyes" great screenname
