Jan. 9 - South Vermillion Invitational, Away

Jan. 16 - Wabash River Conference Meet, @ Fountain Central

Jan. 19- Schlarman Ill., Away

Jan. 26 - Oakwood Ill., Away

Jan. 30 - Sectionals, @ Crawfordsville

Wabash River- 7 of 8 schools have wrestling, No Most Valuable or Most Outstanding award.

Fountain Central will easily dominate.

We only had two CDs in our wrestling room to listen to.

Dingo keeps raising the journalistic bar!

 

On Dingo's write up for the 171 class, he mentioned Scott Moore from Fountain Central with a 30-1 record.  I was wondering who his one loss was to?

Loss was to RV Peter by 1 or 2.... I'm pretty sure...

Gotta go with Bohannon in that match...   Odom has lost to Morris from Carmel this year, and at Regionals Bohannon dominated Morris all the way up to the pin...

The ref should of allowed the match go a little longer for Skelton for get the full takedown...

Same ref made another bad call in the HWT match, with a technical violation call...

He did lose last night, but I'm not sure if it was JV or not.  He didn't wrestle well last night. FC as a whole didn't wrestle well.

I was surprised about how well Mitchell did against Morris last night @ 130 though.

Those three schools placed 3 - 5 in the sectional.  Look for Sv and FC to advance 4 or 5 also.

Was Killen and McBride (285) the finals match for the Sagamore Conference?...if so, what was the score?

Lets hear some top four predictions...

Zionsville may send 3 from 71 and 25 but all all four, Scott and Eli Moore  from FC will get past first round.

Thats just like saying if Seeger still had the Moore brothers they would have won, and Fc would have come out 3rd...but the WRC is over and NV came out champions.

Secondly, where FC is good, SV is better.  I don't think their freshmen can handle the upper classmen of SV.  Sv will have more champions and more kids going to regionals, and most likely be there on Wednesday night for the Team Regional/ Semi State.

130 should be stacked, besides the wrestlers mentioned above.. the Carmel kid beat Odom this past weekend, and Fountain Central has a solid freshmen with only one loss...    Most likely to be the toughest weight class, looking forward to it.

Drooke, South Vermillion beat Southmont in a dual on Tuesday and Hodges was at 89

Fountain Central will come out with the Crawfordsville Sectional title.  They have a young team but their freshmen are tough. 

He'll most likely drop back down like he did last year.  Fountain Central should send quite a few coming from the Crawfordsville sectional.  It will be between them and South Vermillion for who takes the sectional title, but look for FC to come out on top.

I went with these boys every year to the IU competition camp, and was even placed on their team one year.  There is much talent at that school. I learned a lot from their coaches and kids.
