Another cool fact about Brock Norton is that he didn't wrestle varsity all of his sophomore year.  I think he earned the varsity spot late in the year.   So basically he was JV 1/2 the year last year and #3 in the state this year.  Very talented kid.  

Thats very cool, on that note, has anyone every wrestled jv the year before a state title, or deep run into the tournament?

Merrillville has some real studs, but overall depth has to go to evansville, there are 3 or 4 guys that have a legit shot at winning it at each weight

The Merrillville Semi-State year in and year out is the best in the state of Indiana.  If the IHSAA would allow wrestle-backs at the Semi-State, Merrillville would dominate 1st-8th place.

I dont think any of your "locks" are locks, Shrewsbury is the closest thing to it though, NO ONE is ever a lock, I have seen some crazy things happen

Castle is winning 29-10.  They're @ 119 now...so I guess the post should have read...Castle wins...there's no way MD can pull it out.  Looks like Castle & Jeff in the finals.

i know two losses isnt much, especially to someone like Quiroga and Napules.

But his brother was never beaten. Its just kinda weird

I think Jason can still win, it is still a long season, gotta learn from the loss though, use it to motivate
