  1. Hey use2b103 now that his high school career is over Adam says he would like an exihibition match with you are you game?

Come on now.  No need for that. He was just stating his opinion.

Well that isn't an opinion.  That is dogging an outstanding wrestler.  There is no reason to call him dumb.  The kid is in the state finals with 10 thousand people screaming and yelling and they fall out of bounds, twice.  He thought they were out and stood up, nothing bad happened, he still beat White 7-2.  He is the 2009 HEAVYWEIGHT champion and beat a wrestler that is going to Purdue to wrestle.  If you want to congratulate him, be my guest, but don't question his ability or intelligence on the mat.

As this kids Coach, I am telling you I don't appreciate it and I know Adam doens't either.  So for the both of you, unless you have never made a mistake or have wrestled in the state finals, won and walked away the CHAMPION----SHUT UP and move on to another topic.

  2. Tsirtsis and Young both...very impressing. As far as Chalfant...congratulations, but wow!!! In my opinion he gave everyone a little peak of his true wrestling I.Q. I don't have to explain it because everyone knows what I am talking about.

Adam Chalfant did an outstanding job.  He does deserve the congrats, but dogging his wrestling IQ??  Yeah, he turned his back, but he also thought they went out of bounds, WHICH THEY DID!!  The ref had blown the whistle everytime they hit the line for out of bounds, and then they go out except for Adams Feet and he doesn't blow the whistle.  Both those boys thought they went out of bounds, because Alex walked back for a second before he charged.  I would have to say that for a "DUMB" IQ in your words, the boy does HAVE a state champoionship.  So don't get on here and call him out for something that he did during an intense state finals match.  Where is your BLUE RING and STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MEDAL?  I didn't see you down there bustin' balls and pulling out a 7-2 victory over a soon to be Purdue Wrestler!!

Great job Adam, way to go and keep up the hard work.

  3. Way to go Cody and Duck.

There was nothing better than to sit down in my seat and see Cody pinning his guy in the second period.  Then sitting and waiting and getting to see Duck win his title.  You two did a  great job and couldn't have looked better on the mat.

Great job Coach Briggs and Matthews.  Seeing you two coach two wonderful kids and great wrestlers to TWO state titles was perfect.  Having 3 champs from the TEC was a perfect ending to the weekend.

Keep up the good work coaches.  Cody and Duck keep up the hard work and dedication.

  4. I want to congratulate Adam Chalfant.

His third trip to the State Tourney and he walks away with his first State Championship Title and becomes the FIRST state champion in Winchester HISTORY!

Adam wrestled great all weekend and all year.  No one was more deserving Adam and I want to congratulate him and his family on a great year and a great day.

I also want to thank all the fans there that were watching Adam.  It sent chills down Adams back hearing everyone in the arena cheer as his name was announced.  And thank you Mr. Flemming and Mr. Cox for another outstanding Tournament and a great weekend of wrestling.

Congrats to all champions and especially the other 2 champions from the TEC!!

  5. Y2...what are you talking about "true" champions?

I know for a fact there are two 4th place finishers at Regional that are moving on to state and beat some good wrestlers in semi-state to advance.

Not sure what your problem is or what you are talking about but if you would, clarify this for me and quit makin' these guys that make it to state feel like crap and worthless wrestlers because they don't fall under your belief system.

  6. I think having four is a fine idea.

It gives those number 1 seeds a chance to wrestle in the first round, instead of waiting around for 2 hours before they wrestle.

Plus there are some tough regionals that a number four seed could be number 1 or 2 in another regional.

I would like to throw out congrats to all those number 4 seeds that made it happen in all semi-states.

Two big matches for FT Wayne was the Meyer boy from Bellmont beating the N.Western kid in the first round.

And Anthony Fodrea beating Phillips in the first round.

Both boys were #4's and both boys will be advancing to state.

So for all of those people who said it would be a bad idea, and that a 4 could never beat a 1...sorry but it happened.

Our goal is to find the best wrestler and if it happens to be a four seed then so be it.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL wrestlers from the state as they make their own path to history now!!

  7. Sorry to disappoint you all.

I was just trying to get as much info out that I had.

Sorry for trying to be a good AMERICAN citizen!

Good luck to all teams and coaches.  Looking for a great day of wrestling and another great tourney put on by Delta High School.
