I think the match of the year will hopefully be a rematch of the state championship at 112 Josh Kieffer vs. Hawkins That was the best match of the year last year and I think it will be a great one if everything plays out!

I have to agree, Caliboy.  This was a battle and will be an even better battle if it happens again!  Both kids are hard-working gamers.  And gamers dont like to lose! Makes for an exciting match!

Santo and Ivan are both respectable wrestlers, yes santo is a very good wrestler but can he hang with ivan Ruiz????

I was at Valpo wrrestling 3 and saw santo wrestle he has gotten alot bigger and better...  but i conclude on if santo has developed the wrestling ability in the high school level . my self i think he has  waht to do you guys think?????

Munster will be solid at 103 with whoever they start.  And I know the coaches over there are very good at getting the full potential out of their wrestlers.  I know Ivan very well and if Santo can hang with him or beat him,  he definitely has what it takes to be a stud in Indiana High School wrestling.

Ayresman didn't wrestle like a freshman last season!  I think the kid can compete at whatever weight he goes!  After all, if you step on the scale at the same weight as your opponents, is there really a disadvantage?  Whatever he decides, I'm sure he will make a run for that state title! 

this is lil brooks and for the people who stood up for me i thank you i know i did wrong in my part but the school over reacted on me greatly because 1. im an athelete( example)

and who doesnt know what a party boy is ???? but  i learned my lesson and yes i was not to good of a student last yea, but this year im doing very well and im ready to roll!!! oh and a shout out to the kids at gary westside, these kids work hard for what they got and i respect them greatly

You are an awesome kid!  Keep up the hard work!  One day, people won't call you 'little' brooks anymore!  Even if your little!  Keep making a name for yourself, stud!  The McMurray's are rooting for you!

Wrestlers, Coaches, and Fans can't help getting goosebumps when thinking about the Traicoff!  This is a true test to those 'tweeners' and even those returning studs!  You get to see upsets and some matches that could be the state finals! I can't wait to watch some wrastlin'!  This tournament is truly branded  in my head as some of the best memories I will ever have of Indiana wrestling!  I'm very excited!  Good luck!

What is the format?  Is it round robin of the four pools then a tournament?  Sorry, but I have never been and will be there this year.

 

 

Bracket style til the semi's.  Top four teams wrestle a round robbin.. Next 4 wrestle a round robbin and so on.

Maybe because you are the only highschooler that gets on here and toots his own horn...And i have no problem repeating anything i have said on here to anybodys face

I feel our squad can make the final four... We are really looking forward to many tough matches such as willis and i, stahl and torres, van horn and acuna.  Hell maybe roach will wrestle torres!  There are alot of possible grudge matches and I feel that we're more preparred than any team  in the state.

Haha, which subject change? We did start off talking about Campbell beating Phillips this upcoming weekend.  And I don't think you have the time or the brain power to be on my level of comedy and wits.I'll take Campbell by the same.

Why is the sky blue?

We aren't even close to being the best represented state at the NCAA tournament in any given year.  We have had some guys have some big time success in recent years.  We have had an NCAA champ in Escobedo, runners up in Howe and Humphrey, and other All Americans in Coughlin, Tsirtsis, and Hernandez.  That's not bad for a state our size, but it doesn't compare to the top states.  I don't have the numbers, but I would be shocked if Pennsylvania and Ohio are not the top represented states there.     

For one that is leaps and bounds better than the past and in one year we had multiple wrestlers in the finals..  Just check out how many wrestlers are going D1 every year... The number keeps increasing..

It is nice to see two top ranked wrestlers from Illinois lose to Indiana wrestlers over the weekend. 

This has been becoming more and more common.  It's amazing to see how much better Indiana wrestling is getting.  Our elite are some of the best in the country!  Another nice note is that our wrestlers seem to develop nicely in college.  This is huge because anyone with any knowledge of college wrestling would know that many recruits don't wash out and/or don't continue with the school they started with.  Indiana has had a lot of NCAA qualifiers, placers, and finalists!  In fact, we may have been the best represented state at the NCAA tournament for the past two years!  Anyone have the numbers?
