Awesome tournament it was my son's first year to wrestling in this tournament. We will definitely be back next year. Great job on keeping the tournament moving.
-
I just voted and he is in the lead now.
-
Jorts=Jean shorts.
-
Edgewood is very excited to be a part of Team State.
-
Good Info Teammills. I know where we are headed this coming year now.
-
Didn't get to this in time. But Levi Swinney from Edgewood would be interested in any future 132/138 spots.
-
It was a great match. I personally wanted Red to win because what he accomplished was so rare. The sport needs legends and hype to build and grow and inspire. I was impressed by Lee at Semistate and at State much respect for going after Red and wrestling him tough. Two great young men. We get to watch Lee for another year!!
-
Nick is on a mission I watched him at Semistate. But I think Red is gonna win. I remember watching Red when he was little. He wrestled my son. He was crazy good back then too. I hope he wins so he can be one of the few that went his entire high school career undefeated. But I do respect Nick for going 132 to try and beat the best. Either way a deserving wrestler will be the winner two of Indiana best ever!

220 will be interesting one to watch.

Some of the brackets are unfortunate, with the probable better wrestlers on the same side of the bracket.
Based on the brackets:
106
Pinkham (BS)
McGlothlin (BN)
Meyerholtz (So.Ridge)
Riddell (Crawford Cnty)
113
Stull (BS) (Stull/Gosney season long battle. Stull has the upper hand.)

Webster (THN)
126
Blubaugh (BS)

Smith (Sull.)
138
Webb (BS) (Webb wrestles McCoy for the third time and takes the win.)
McCoy (NV)

Dixon (BS)
Rivera (THS)
Short (W. Vigo)
Wilson (EDGE)
285
Dwyer (THN)
England (Mitchell)
Neukam (So. Ridge)
Thornton (Wash.)
Pretty close but I pick a few different.
113 Gosney comes back hard and wins.
132 Swinney wins again. Clement won in overtime on a missed throw by Swinney. Swinney shut out Clement out 3-0.
138 McCoy all the way. He is and always has been solid, just don't think Webb can do it.
160 Inman wins. He was leading Hay in the finals. Would also say Coldren has a sold shot for at least 3rd he is tough.
220 Wilson gets second. I think he pulls off a win against Rivera in the second round.
The team race should be fun too. Sectionals were sooooo close.
So THIS is why Nick Lee is skipping his senior year...

I think it is awesome that a Indiana wrestler is this good. Wish him the best. It was fun to watch him dismantle those we consider studs when not on the mat with someone as talented as Nick. On to bigger and better things.
