Penn is deep and loaded, but here are some possibilities to consider.
132 Loughlin- Riley, Cotton- Clay, Olsen- Adams #4 guys draws Childers
120 Hardesty- Mish, Hartman- Clay, Tyler- Wash, Felix- Marian #4 guy draws Hatch
145 Malone- Adams, Breathit- Riley, Glon- Marian
I may have left some guys out unintentionally, I haven't seen every team yet.
Manspeaker must have beat Beam in challenge match this week, I think either one of them could do well at 138.
Penn is Penn and they will have a chance to get everyone through, but maybe not as easy as you would like to think.
NIC tourney is this weekend and will give a much clearer picture of what Sectionals will look like.
132 is the most likely we will have a 4th seed at regionals and that will most likely be a childers draw.
he is not the most technical guy but is built like a brick house.
i think 138 was going to be manspeakers to lose this year regardless of beam being healthy or not.

I think Penn has at least 1 or 2 that won't make it out of Regionals...
Are you saying Manspeaker will make it out of semi-state? No way!
thats what i am saying...i think he will just make it out.
no stats to back it up just a hunch.

should'nt be any big suprises tonite...not overly excited
mishawaka will win maybe 2 or 3 matches

i think we will see Penn have a full team make it out of regionals this year.
the only spot i would worry about is Hensley at 132...if he draws childers 1st match that could be trouble.
as far as that 120 to 145 weights everyone was concerned about i think will be solid.
Slates being out hurts for sure but he has solid backup.
As far as 138 there was talk of Beam as the starter...Manspeaker is the starter and has been.
He beat Beam in a head to head and 138 is his...i will go out on a limb and goes as far as saying he will be the big suprise this year and make it out of semi-state.
If Hensley handles his buisiness at 132 all will go to semi-state...prediction

just curious why pool a and b would wrestle each other in the semis of the 3a bracket instead of a and d and b and c?
seems like the 1st and 2nd seeded teams are set up to take each other out before the finals.
in this setup you will never have #1 and #2 in the finals against each other.

if i was Mater Dei i move blake jourdan up to 152 to try and steal that 152 weight from penn but swank is a tuff dude.

penn looks pretty solid going into team state but with the same holes in the lineup as last year just moved up a weight class.
you got 3 or 4 potential state winners with woods, hildebrandt, memmolenti and osbourne.
slates at 120 will be huge for them if he can stay semi healthy if not the hole in the lineup will be larger.
126-145 is where it gets interesting manspeaker is going to be pretty solid at 138.
swank is going to be stud this year and i look for him to be in the hunt for a state title the next 2 years.
a state team title will hinge on that 120-145 weights
Merrillville top 4 and possible 4's over 1's

and i could not disagree with you more. i also watched and taped that match and thought both wrestles aggressive.
beam did get a little out of focus at the end of that match but looking at the tape rodiquez did not try to return beam to the mat for nearly 5 seconds. if he plans on wrestling in college he will find out real fast that call will be made 100% of the time in that situation.
and i owe beam an apology for my earlier post that he would not be where he is now. he has shown what it takes to be a winner it does not matter the margin of victory or how you get it done..you have to have the drive and guts to compete when the chips are down injured or not.
