Even though it was not the championship match but the reaction of both Broukal and Davis after the 132 3rd and 4th match showed the respect both have for each other. Both class acts and great wrestlers!

It was a privilege to watch him for so many years! Congrats!

I must say I like the looks of 132...What a stacked weight class full of a lot of great wrestlers! I have to say Broukal and Davis both showed a lot of class after their match...both congratulating each other! Way to go boys!

And he gets his own topic here? Lets just shut this post down and not give him anymore of our wrestlers time!

The Avon HWTs cartwheel was pretty sweet. I agree these kids aren't taunting their opponents, they are celebrating their accomplishment. I say let them have their moment they have earned it.
Personally I think this was the best celebration of the night!!! It was great!

i was thinking
Im sexy and I know it. LOL But wrecking ball would be scary!
-
Here are a few possibilities....
132 Lovejoy over Broukal
152 Partee over Mammolenti
182 Howard-Anthony over Warman
Lovejoy over Broukal? That would be an upset but Im sorry I dont believe this will be the outcome of this match.

all I hear are crickets?
Im embarrassed just reading it...

This year you produced NO state qualifiers, only a PARTICIPANT..
ditto!!
-
You can wrestle 7 tournaments and 4 duals in the regular season. If you wrestle 7 two day tournaments where you get 5 matches each day that would give you 70 matches. Add the 4 duals and you get 74 matches. Add a possible 5 matches at sectional, 3 possible at regional, 4 possible at semistate and 4 possible at state you could get 90 matches.
This wore me out just reading it.

Knowing that his headbutts can be vicious...I would say Cody "knockout" Lecount.
-
Good question...I would be interested in knowing this one.
-
This reminds me of the stupidest wrestling quote I heard this year....
Lady's son is getting dominated on the mat...she screams, "Why do you have to be so aggressive? This isn't football!" If you cannot handle what happens on the mat, stay off the mat. Simple as that...guess that's why this guy played soccer.

I agree the Kelley and Macri match will be a great one. James and Jourdan should be a good match but I am going to give it to James. Pulling for Kelley but I think that one will be a hard one to call.

I thought this was pretty cool. Lots of familiar names!
Man this brings back memories!

Lecount is tough...always has been. I have not seen Forte wrestle but I am sure looking forward to this one.

I hope micic dominates, mostly because I think it is ridiculous a freshman is being picked over a number 1/2 ranked kid in the nation, and partially because micic is a beast. His sophomore year he took out boston. Boston is a top ranked kid at 120 now. Yes lee is great, but his time will come. It's micic time and I hope he dominates.
I don't think Mimic will dominate but I do think he will pull it out. However, I do not think it is ridiculous to pick a freshman over Mimic. That is no disrespect to Mimic. Lee is one heck of a wrestler. This one will be a barn burner. We will all be treated to a great match in my opinion.
-
Joe Lee.
Yup...

My first time to watch under the lights was last year...it was amazing!
-
These are impressive streaks! Congrats! And to those who have broken a drought...a BIG congratulations!
-
I don't have a dog in the fight when it comes to Davis, but you can't hold anything against a kid that takes advantage of the opportunities presented to him. I don't think a person flukes into making three trips to state. I hope he can make the most of it and get a podium finish this year.
I agree...fun kid to watch...kind of like the match between BB145 and Indy Big Un. Its going to be another great weekend of wrestling at all weight classes.
-
BB145 has 519 post and 13 about Davis
Indy Big Un has 22 posts and 5 about Davis
That's pretty creepy...yes?
Creepy might be the fact that you are looking...

Konrath was a class act all the way! Happy to see him win it! He deserved it especially after the match last week again MD.

Franklin's 126 went out like a champ...after he was tech falled by Nick Lee. He shook both refs hand, held his head high.
I did see the headgear fly the air and almost hit a coach on another mat. Not sure what happened with the bit finger, or if the Madison kid was flexing directly at the Castle coaches or behind them at someone in the crowd.
I seen several kids shake the refs hands which is something I haven't really seen. Overall, I thought the sportsmanship was great.
I seen the flexing on the mat by the Madison wrestler...disrepectful to all involved and the bite well it speaks for itself!

I agree - Lets just say great job Tommy! This is a true test to a wrestler's dedication.
