  1. Matt winning this isn't really an upset.  The way he won it was what impressed me.   VERY inspired performance for the day.

I have to say it was an upset but agree completely that Mastison was on fire today.  He was really tough in the toughest weight class all day.

  2. What I took away from this is the Heritage Hills and South Spencer have so really strong upper weights!   The South Spenser 195 is a beast!

A lot of dinged up kids coming out of this sectional.

Does anyone have any idea what was called in the Todrank/Welch finals match?   Todrank got a point for something, but no one seems to know what actually was called.   The ref of that match was HORRIBLE ALL DAY!  He spent more time at the scorers tables then he did on the mats!

The Welch match was a great example of a clueless official can endanger a kids wrestling career.  He should have called the pin that was obvious to even my old eyes fro the cheap seats and the entire situation would have never happened  I

Am glad no one was seriously hurt.

  3. You have the seeds right. I think everyone is gun shy to say anything to jinx their guy or perhaps be ridiculed by a "alum" who is protecting the teams "legacy".  I see Kuhn and Johns winning in each weight. Kuhn dominated Brown the first match (I was not there but a good friend was and those are his exact words) and Johns always comes up big in late season and competes well in do or die situations. Wedding is the best wrestler at 132 when he is healthy and I cant imagine him going all out just yet and risking his health. He should place top 3 either way and wait for more important matches to go all out. Just my thoughts.

I think it is more to the point that the adults understand that it's up to a group of teenaged kids to go out and wrestle hard and win not for a bunch of middle aged men to argue about on a chat board.

    SMH out of pure embarrassment.

  4. I am in the who cares what happened last week.  From most peoples predictions for Castle sectional champions the Panther should have no trouble walking off the mat with the trophy Saturday afternoon.  Panther nation should be thankful that they will be dealing with those "Super Quick Castle Wrestlers", and not the Mater Dei Wildcat this weekend.  Well that's how I see it. ;D

I know there are a lot of use in Panther Nation that aren't so sure the move to Warrick County made things any easier.  Out of the Frying Pan and into the fire.

We went from Mater Dei and Central to Memorial, Castle, and Heritage Hills.  Not sure that was a good trade.

Oh well.  I do want to wish all the guys GOOD LUCK AND LET'S GET'EM!

  5. My 12 year old has decided to write a program to automate Wrestling tourneys.

As his mom I couldn't be happier that he is doing this and not burning down the neighbors house or something, but I haven't been able to fine anything that would help him with the scoring in a High School tourney, like the Sectional or Regional.

Does anyone know where I can find that information for Indiana?  I really want to help keep him focused on this and it is frustrating to not know where to point him.

  6. You are the joke, sir! I don't see u bashing the people talking about Logan Weddings rib injury. Nobody is making excuses. And I was extremely proud of my son, who in between trips to the bathroom battled his ass off in a 4OT heartbreaking loss. Not once did he complain. Not one excuse. Get a life!

As a Reitz Wrestling parent, I have to say I am REALLY embarrassed by the way many of our supporters act on here.

I don't see what Panterfan78 said as bashing at all.  He pretty much said it as it is.  The statements made may not have been intended as excuses, but I for one thought they sounded that way.  It's not the first time I have heard people whining about kids being sick or hurt and that's why they didn't win.  It embarrasses the kids, the coaches, and the program.  Its just not representative of what I understand as the standards set by the coaches, no excuses and 110% at all times.

  7. When was the last time the SIAC finished with results that were this even?

    Central      4                        1                  1                1

    MD              2                        9                  0                0

    Memorial    2                        0                  3                3

Sorry if some of these are wrong.  Not sure if my source was correct.
