Every tournament should weigh the wrestlers in. Really the only way to go if you ask me. The honor system is flawed.
Honor system for ISWA tournaments!

Sure, that's what I'm saying. It is flawed because of the coaches and parents entering their wrestlers under inaccurate weights. I guess what I'm saying is the same thing your saying. The honor system is flawed by the few who do not honor it. This weekend our elementary team wrestled at the South Gibson tournament which was the first all year we went to with weigh ins at registration. I was proud to enter a team with not one wrestler needing to wrestle up from their regular weight class. However, it was no surprised to see quite a few of the wrestlers we had faced throughout the year wrestling in higher weight classes. I'm not sure if this happens due to coaches and parents lying or coaches and parents not know where to draw the line after giving a wrestler a half a pound, then it becomes a pound, then a pound and a half...etc. Event held weigh ins simply eliminate this occurrence.
Also, no events ever start on time due to entry scratches and other things. Popping a wrestler on the scale during skin checks is really not too time consuming.
