  1. final predictions...these are "spot on" so take it to the bank, this is how it will go lol:

    182 robinson, howard, vessels, harnishfeger

Is this due to Robinson's early season win over Howard or has he beaten any other wrestlers? Either way this weight class is a nail biter for me.

  2. Fortunately for all involved, the difference was a poster board and not elimination.

Good luck to everyone this week.  And now we are all on the same side!  At least for the first round.   ;D

Finally someone with sense. Neither wrestler  involved needs their stellar season ended in such a way. Both wrestlers gave it their all on the mat and unfortunately, we as spectators do not always agree with what happens on the mat and stupid arguments are what follows. When it comes to championship matches of this caliber, there are two Refs. and two coaches on the floor that are in charge and we hope are capable of making the right choices. Sportsmanship is not just for those in the sport, but also for those in attendance.

  3.

Something doesn't make sense here.  They have Howards record as losing only 6.  Are you telling me these are his ONLY losses?

    Harnishfeger pinned him twice

    Centerville pinned him

    Hittle beat him

Two losses at Spartan Classic one to Scholer one to valpo.

That's six... he also lost a match last week.  Right there is seven.  Is batesville trying to pull one over on everyone for better seeding?  Guess we'll go back through the results page.

Nope you count is exactly right. His second loss to Harnishfeger was last week and it was his only loss last week. Which brings total to six so far.

  4. my picks:

    106 moody, pace, wilburn bunch

    113 brasier, ford, mcclurg, grass

    120 struewing, oyler, bunch, bowers

    126 gettinger, orschell, luca, ricketts

    132 fuller, salatin, o'farrow, judd

    138 marschand, solomon, wood, gartenman

    145 hartman, manning, dole, yatsko

    152 steele, gramman, utterback, nobbe

    160 shaw, bischoff, day, krom

    170 hittle, hedger, amberger, gonzalez

    182 harnishfeger, vessels, howard, cavins

    195 hawkins, hooten, huffman, moore

    220 brown, lindeman, marvel, hadley

    285 garland, deilkes, phillips, caddell

I think 182 will be a meat grinder between those four, but, I pick Howard second if not First. Last Saturdays match-up was a nail biter at least for me, down to the last 29 seconds. Howard does have two hard fought wins over Vessels so that is my reasoning for at least second.

  5. I completely agree.  Set an example for your kids on being professional.

On another note I believe FILA rules state coaches cannot be dressed up.  As far as I am aware they must be in athletic appearl.  Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Good pictures but those are not of professional coaches. JK LOL

  6. 106: John Moody

    126: Ben Westerfeld SSQ 2012

    132: Zack Mears

    138: Anthony Garteman

    145: Cody Haakinson

    152: Neal Nobbe

    160: Matt Linkle

    170: Will Amberger SSQ2012

    182: Daniel Howard Injury 2012

    195: Jarret Hooten

    220: Zach Strub

    285: Garret Watkins

I believe this is our roster.

  7. i think in the end this is what we know.....busco made a coaching mistake and admits to it......no big deal.....it happens.....the opposing coach told on the kid knowing that there would be a DQ......and in my opinion, that is pretty lame......he should have just told busco that the kid was doing something he shouldn't have been and let him correct it.....that is the only "adult" thing to do and it bleeds common sense......and lastly, Y2 will not give a yes or no answer to the question of was he referring to busco in his comment earlier on......

I have heard many people stating that reporting this to the Ref was a cowardice act. Can someone explain cowardice to me, what apparently busco either obviously didn't care enough about his wrestler competing in the first place, because he allowed him to keep the water bottle or just was not adult enough to just say put it away because I as an adult said so. Now no one knows or has stated that possibly the so called cowardly coach had seen busco talking to this wrestler and figured he didn't correct the situation and so he reported it to the ref. After listening to a lot of you so called coaches speak on here I really would begin to question the ethics of individuals that have such influence on these children. What's next, It's ok to use steroids or other enhancements as long as you don't get caught? I know this is a little extreme but same judgement applies.

  8. What if the kid is drinking water right in front of the coach and the coach is not doing anything to stop him?

What if the coach is well known for stretching the rules at every corner to gain perceived advantages for them?

Either way I would not want this coach, coaching my kid. We as parents try to teach our kids right from wrong and wrong is wrong. I, as a parent, trust that coaches are trying to teach our children the same way. To me this is the most disturbing thought that a coach can have the influence that he/she does on our children and they are basically telling our kids to heck with the rules as long as you don't get caught. This not only applies to coaches but to us as adults in a whole.

  9. Here is M.O. was he wrong YES! If the ref seen with his own eye's he got caught! If another Coach informed

the Ref than he is a Snitch or Informant!! It is all for the kids, he was below weight any ways! Let them

wrestle , use common sense! don't the Bad guy and cost a kid to miss in his Senior year! I have seen a School and AD shaft a couple kids for 365 day of eligibility first hand! it is wrong these coach are to Teach and mentor are kids not PUNISH them!! Snitch's will get dealt with, Karma. :-\

Bigtoe, I think a rule is a rule and if broken and you get caught by any adult/Coach then it is our responsibility to report it. What example are we setting here? It's ok to do whatever you want no matter what the rules are as long as you don't get caught. Don't know about you but I didn't raise my kid that way.

  10. Being a parent, and not a coach, looking in I have seen many that I feel are great coaches and a few that I feel that are very questionable, not that I am saying you are as I really don't know you personally. While drinking water is not a bad thing, allowing a kid to break the rules is and that is what is at stake here.

  11. I'm not 100% sure Giffin is wrestling...haven't seen his name anywhere yet.

Maybe just a little bit biased towards Batesville??

Unfortunately those are the ones I know, Will make changes as I am updated. Just trying to get a good guess to see how accurate we make it. As far as biased two of the Batesville boys won this last year so I figured that they had a chance this year. Just update me with your picks and let's make a good list. Not being school specific.
