  1. Best Semi State in Evansville in many years. Talent from top to bottom in every weight class. The coaches were class acts and the wrestlers were honorable in victory and defeat. Parents can come on here and say this or that but one thing is for sure...Evansville Semi State teams are top notch in every aspect of the sport of wrestling. Congratulations to those headed to Bankers.

For the most part the majority of wrestlers showed honor and dignity in victory and defeat, however no disrespect to the Madison wrestling staff, but i did see a couple of madison wrestlers show no honor. At 132 dempler/Williams from Madison threw his headgear in the air when he was still on the mat. Looks like it about hit the opposing coach.  Another observation was at 160 between Kemper/Partee match when he looked as if after the win Partee flexed towards Castle coaches and then the biting leading to a DQ. Geesh kids grow up and don't embarrass your coaches, parents, teammates and yourself.

  2. @ 152, confussed as to How Troutman is a 2 and Lynch is  a 3 seed. BNL for a 1 seed, has BNL wrestled the caliber of teams at FC and NA. Sucks for 2/3 seed as clearly 1 of the better wrestlers will not get a change to be in the finals. And don't talk about how seeding is based on record, just stating how wrong it really is.

  3. I don't think it was lying at all.

I know for us, Madison, we are using trackwrestling for the first time w/ 4 brand new managers. It's been lots of trial and error and Tskin spends large amounts of time going over and correcting mistakes.

I think that several are in the same boat in terms of new managers, names, and all of that.

The Ward record didn't affect the seeding.

Never said it was. Was making light. And yes I know it did not disturb seeting.

Triple B, do you need a hug.

132 will also be the toughest weight class at Regionals.

  5. Bryant Haynes from charlestown is going 120 this year, will be top 4. He woulda been last year if it wasnt for catching the flu at regionals and losing a close match to jennings countys 120. And luke woods will be goin 106 this year and has beat mason kaufer several times and will be at the top of 106.

Many wrestlers got sick at sectionals and regionals, can't use that as a reason. You gotta dig deep. 120 was a meatgrinder last year. 120, 126, 132 could also be a meatgrinder this year, depending on who goes where. Its not going to be a cakewalk.

  6. @navy80

Peavler beat Engleking 2 weeks ago at 120 . Burton or Greenwell (120) have to get through Haynes from Charlestown and Deleon from Jeff, both have been wrestling very well.

The Jamison/Holwager match at 126 will be very good. Jamison should come out on top.
