  1. Well Raley in his post win interview made mention of having 2 other IC kids in the final "being a big accomplishment for a small school".  So he must be to much of the talk too.

how can this "tiny" school not fill a whole team? Not taking anything away from them they have some great individuals... they'll have a hard time convincing me they are at a great disadvantage, coming from the 280th largest school in the state  ;D, Congrats to them, 552 is not that small

  2. Does the IHSAA keep track of how many people attend each level of the individual state tournament?  Was the tunout as low at the other 3 semistates as it was in Evansvillle?  I would estimate there were maybe 3000 to 4000 at E-ville.  If the turnout at state is as bad as it was at every event I attended this year, I would not be surprized to see it in a highschool gym next year.

I'm sure they could rent out the Coliseum like they do for the Ft. Wayne semi-state before it would ever be held at a high school!

  3. I understand that he never said he was a hack... and i took it as him saying he is not very good on his feet, my bad if he was saying that is not as good on his feet as meska, i will say i have not seen meska wrestle but have heard he liks to go upperbody and someone before said he is strong as an ox so my thinkinng is that he trys to out muscle people??? san anyone confirm that?

He'll muscle people.... as he's taking them down! he's pretty slick on his feet.

  4. Zink not good on his feet?????? are you sure about that???? im not sure your talking about the right kid??? from what i see he is not to shabby on his feet made some people look silly at reg.

I would have to agree with sniderpanthers on this I think that would be his weakest position. He is a much better on the mat than on his feet IMHO

  5. Wow absolutely one, if not the best dual, I have ever been to! Bellmont showed once again why they are the class of the northeast hats off to them. BJ and the rest of their coaching staff do an amazing job getting their wrestlers to peak at just the right time every year! They have to have one of the best staffs in the state and know how to get every ounce out of their wrestlers. As soon as brooks beat vanhorn I knew it was going to fall their way... just outstanding wrestling by Stebing tonight wrestling with nothing to lose. Great match with hiestand huge win over Timmerman just too bad he couldn't put it together in the individual tournament. WOW is all I can say that loss will stick with Yorktown for a long long time. If you missed it your missed a helluva great night of wrestling at AC!

  6. If Bradley doesn't come to wrestle he will be going home early, Jeff Clark is my pick to click and win semi-state.  He is one of the most dangerous wrestlers in the state and if he gets you on your back he will not let you off of it until the ref slaps the mat.

You are really in love with Jeff Clark! Is this you Jeff Clark? Good joke Jeff Clark!  ;)

  7. The only common opponent that I can think of for ehr and Lefever id grayson Smith of norwell. Both of them beat Smith but LeFever was never in any danger and the only points I believe smith got. Were when Lefever cut him. And I have LeFever over ehr and Timmerman over heistand in the finals

    Homer  ;D

    215 Thatcher, Chalfant, Grubb, Jakacki

    285 Meyer, Forrest, Mitchell, Walker

  9. Timmerman, Lfever, and lefever should all come out as champs. Timmerman and Hiestand will be a good match to watch, they will also wrestle this wensday assuming both carroll and yorktown win their first round matches. And lefever and Ehr will be another exciting match to watch.

I could see Timmerman getting beat by Burnfield to tell you the truth... Burnfield was a period away from beating hiestand. If he'd chosen top in the third period I highly believe with a 3 point lead he would've held on to win considering he rode hiestand out in the second and turned him for nearfall... Great ticket round match!

  10. Ehr is lucky to be a sectional champ. How he wrestled he deserves to get 4th place at best.

Some call it luck some call it skill... all I know is it takes a LOT of luck come tournament time and he's been pretty "lucky" over the last 3 years. Yeah maybe his "luck" hasn't got him a medal at state yet but he has had some quality wins over quality wrestlers and not many losses... he may not look the best doing it every match but he finds a way to pull it out more often than not...

  11. Has the IHSAA looked into having it somewhere else so the wrestlers are not rushed out of the gym for a REGULAR season basketball game.

I'm not sure how they ever even got the sectional. I know when the realignment happend in I believe '04? when the Adams Central Sectional joined with the southern teams it became the Jay County Sectional. However, Adams Central was the host of the old sectional and from what I was told all IHSAA was to offer the hosts the option whether or not they would like to host the new sectional. I was told AC was never offered this and Jay County became the host. This is all just hearsay from cough cough a pretty reliable source....
