I agree a little down time i can live with. thanks for hosting this site.

I am not a mom but as a coach and a dad i am sure they real yorktown mom and old 140lbs wrestler are not going to be in the stands cheering. I have not coached a kid who would bust their hump all year the gladly hand it over. that's jst my thoughts. i could be wrong.

My picks are NC almost across the board. sorry guys its only the way i see it.
-
it looks like they locked us. I still stand behind my coach "Rex Pech" sorry he knows the rules and you don't. read your book. ;D
-
We don't take it as an attach on our school or A.D . I am glad you are looking out for the people who matter, the kids.
-
if it is in the rule book I don't see how that is a loop hole, every coach should know the rule book.

When is it ok for a person sitting in the corner chair coach or not to tell his wrestler to "Ball tag and head lock" the other wrestler? it could be heard on the track in the field house. Nice move MC. sorry you still lost!

i can give you what i know. from NC side. NC won at 119 125 140 and 160 2nd place at 103 112 145 152 and 215. hope that helps. back to Pech. the rule state if you have an unseated wrestler you may replace any of you seated wrestlers with that wrestler. it is down to a chess match at this point. Rex didn't get over 800 wins by being stupid and not knowing how to play the game. good luck to all the young men a women starting this week of sectionals. hope all your dreams come true. and you will only get as fair as the work you have put in. Good luck

Those look pretty. i curious to see how White does at 140, I'm not sure he is strong enough at that weight to do much past regional. If he can't get the legs in he will be in trouble. i am looking for a bunch of upsets at 140 prior to semi-state. That weight class is loaded with alot of talent an under rated young men. I know they do their best to keep up with wins and loses and make the best predictions they can, they do a really good job. but they can only talk about so many. can't wait to see who makes it to semi-state.

Before we get all jacked up for semi-state does any one have the brackets for the North central conf. which will be at New Castle?
-
Brant was at 160 for New Castle, and should be the rest of the year, if Decker stays at 145.
-

There is a thread listing several wrestlers moving down weight classes, but I am not sure people are thinking about the 1.5% per week rule. I am not in agreement of this rule mainly because it isn't policed. In most cases(lighter wrestlers), it is too late to weigh above what you want to wrestle at sectionals. For example, a couple notable 112 pound wrestlers wrestled up at 119 this week in duals. If the kids weighed in above 119.5, they wouldn't be eligible to make 114 for sectionals because they would have to lose more than 1.5% of their weight. Will they be forced to stay at 119? Another example would be a 160 pounder dropping to 145 for sectionals. Unless he weighed in Yesterday at 152, he would have to lose more than 1.5% of his weight to get to 147 for sectionals. Even a 145 pounder would only be able to lose 4.25 pounds these next two weeks. If a 145 pound wrestler weighed in yesterday at 146.5 he is locked in at 145!
WINNING AT ALL COST!

Brian103 nicely said. i agree 100% with you. I hate it for the kids. life isn't fair, do we nee to screw them in high school? no that will happen enough later in life. lets make all schools play by the same rules. if the ihsaa isn't doing anything about it then shame on them. they get paid a nice salary to police rule violations i would like to see what they have to say about it, and that be the final word.
