Don't they give them a growth allowance?
7 pound allowance

You're right but who's to say he chooses bottom? Lol
Reese is a monster on his feet.
-
Clevlend had way to much length and strenght. Plus he was an absolute monster on top. He would have turned if not pinned Reese
-
Nathan Clevlend ( sorry if I mispelled the last name) from Lowell would have dominated Trey Reece
idk close match bro
-
Boehm and his coaches decided to let Robinson advance. Great sportsmanship shown.
-
What's up with the back? I thought they made Joe Gallegos look like a Ninja Turtle.
Sweet! Lol
-
Joe we need to get on the same team again man.
Most def. Best 220-hwt tag team in Indiana I'd say.
-
Me also.
Joe Gallegos
-
Joe you have been classy through this whole thing. Congratulations on a brilliant career
Thanks you OTR. It's means a lot!

Give Kral his credit he won state that's more then most of us can say. As for saying they were bad calls I was always told to not let it be put in the refs hand to decide the match. Gallegos should have been pressuring back more and working his own ties rather then letting Kral control the entire match. Good Job Kral!!!
IF you watch the match i tried circling back in everytime!

I don't know the kid personally, but to call him a punk on this board, makes me wonder who the punk really is. I also think there was more to the story of him jumping into the arms of the other coach. Maybe they have a connection nobody else knows about. That coach didn't seem to mind. He seemed happy for the young man. Just my thoughts on things.
Go to southbendtribune.com and click high school sports. He was gonna move there. Went to disney duals with Yorktown.

and my last post on this thread would be for you to stop bashing either one of us. we both wrestled as hard as we could and left everything out on the mat! Thank you!
-
whats the matter with you guys all you do is complain about it being boring to watch. trust me you dont wanna take a bad shot and get stuck underneath one of those big boys. at the lower weights you can get away with it but not so much with the heavy weights. I thought it was a very smart wrestled match by kral if your opponent isnt going to give you anything just keep pushing into him they will call him eventually idk how you say kral should have been called for stalling when gallegos was backing up the whole time.
i said it before and i will say it again PUSHING IN IS NOT OFFENSE! i took shots all match long! not being a sore loser either! Kral outsmarted me and had the better strategy congrats to him and the crown point coaches!
-
I don't think anyone can complain about stalling because kral was on the offense. Neither opponents showed offense against kral and that's how he wrestles. Do people expect to see singles and high crotchs at that weight? Lets be honest. Regardless congrats to tyler and gelen on there accomplishments.
no offense?! really..

CHS132: Everyone sitting around me commented on how ugly your singlets were. And as for
Gallegos winning, had stalling been called like it should have been the match would
been over in 2 periods. He was backing up the whole match. Our 285lber got cautioned
for stalling with only 15 seconds expired in the first period. Being from our semi-state
I will be rooting for Gallegos this weekend until if and when he meets up with Kral again.
Kral got about as tough a draw as you can get. Hopefully he will wrestle like a 220lber
instead of a heavyweight.
thanks for clearing that up for me. I didn't know I was stalling... I wasn't backing up I was clearly being pushed. No shots were taken while I was being tied up in a collar tie and wrist. Thanks for bashing me dunefan. Congrats to Kral for winning state!

Chris Johnson of SB Clay third year wrestler going to state.
Dwight hunter of SB Clay was varsity for five matches last year and is now going to state.

Tsirtsis or brooks.

I am not going to pull any punches here. I thought the 220 weight class at Merrillville looked sloppy and weak. There is no way the Crown Point kid should be ranked 1 all season. I am not trying to be negative or mean towards this kid or any of the 22o pound wrestlers who have worked hard all season and even all their lives. However, if Merrillville's 220s are the best in the state, then this weight class is down this year. I'm guessing a different semi state wins this one. 195 is another story though. I say Sliga has trouble beating Berry from Merrillville. This kid wasn't on the mat a total of three minutes the whole day. He is a beast! I sure wouldn't want to face off against him.

Clay got 5

Reagan was a qualifier in 2010, last year he was beaten by Robinson in the quarters. It wasn't a very close match. I want to say in the 9-4 range.
It was 5-2

Most impressive to me was Sean Mappes! Watches him dominate all tournament long!

no need to attack our guys! It was a great match!
21 times. Hartman exited the mat 21 times durning the championship match while under attack. Watch the tape and count 'em up boys. 21 times. I don't know why, but Clay's light and middle weights always play the edge. I find it unexplainable why the ref didn't hit Hartman with numerous deserved stalling calls. When Hartman finally did wrestle in the middle he was pinned instantly in the 3rd, which I guess is why he loves that out of bounds line.
Think about it. The loudest cheer of the night was when Hartman lost, and it wasn't because the poor kid has asthma. Its because people want to see wrestling, not playing the edge of the mat. Clay's upper weights don't do that.
