This subject needs to be changed to "Ticket Round Matches aka WRESTLEBACKS"
-
Totally agree.
I have been going to the FW SS for the past 15 years, and every year you hear someone say, "If he can draw the Peru champ, he has a chance to get in." (Not trying to pick on you Peru regional guys, but traditionally your regional is the weakest performing).
You never hear someone say, "Well, I think he is one of the top 4 guys there." that's because it does not matter who is top 4, it only matters what draw you get.
Occasionally, you are much better off getting 4th at Regional than getting 2nd. Just depends whom you draw.
That's the same thing we say about the Logansport Regional when you're at the Merrillville SS

I posted most of the Rochester Results on the results page but I left at 220 so I didn't get the 3rd place match or any of the HWT matches

I see they have the semi-states on trackwrestling.com but when will they release it to the public?
-
winkle has to get past the delphi guy first, don't think so
They had a great match at the Twin Lakes 16 Team Individual Tourney earlier this year so it will be a good rematch!
-
Sam Ferdig is 2-0 against Manspeaker. Unless Trevor steps up his game, he's gonna keep losing these matches by 1 or 2 points. And I'm close to Stasiak, but if he thinks he's gonna get away with another head lock to win regionals (especially if he wrestles Allen in the finals, again), he's probably wrong. But I do think he has this.
I know Ferdig is a good wrestler but Penn is going to have that mentality this weekend that Regionals is the most important meet and I can see Manspeaker bringing his A game but it will be a good one. On Stasiak, he is on a roll right now and I do not see anyone getting in his way.
