  2. It's real simple Coach. I agree many talented wrestlers fall through the cracks from a bad match, or a bad call, or them and another really good wrestler meet up in the ticket round.

    2 Solutions I can offer.

a- Seed the semi-state make sure your best 4 -8 wrestlers are separated. That would take little to no effort. There are kids going down that got pinned in 7 seconds by kids that are staying home.

b Still seed the tournament but wrestle 2 rounds on Friday night with true wrestle-backs and send your 4 best kids down to Indy. Then We truly have the best State Tournament with 1 class.

  3. Here are some results that I found.

    Sorry if I missed anyone.

    Cadet 88 Drew Hildebrandt  4th

    Cadet 100 GARRETT PEPPLE  7th

    Cadet 113 TOMMY CASH  5th

    Cadet 120 Josh Fuqua  4th

    Cadet    120 Ben Harvey  8th

    Cadet 138 BRENDON KELLEY  4th

    Cadet 160 Bobby Steveson 2nd

    Cadet 195 Connor Tolley  2nd

    Cadet 195 BEN ELLIOT  6th

    Cadet 285 GAVAN JOLLEY-LITTLE  CHAMPION

    Cadet 285 Shawn Streck  3rd

    Junior 132 NICK CRUME 3rd

    Junior 132 LEVI MOSS 5th

    Junior 285 Donte Winfield 7th

  4. Thanks did not know that.  On the rankings all year it stated that Corasaro lost to Fuqua.  That is what I was going on.

Cathedral is like whole different team than the last time these two teams met.  Should be really close and will be interesting on who has to report first

Does Haas have curly hair too?

    It was Corasaro guaranteed!

  5. This late in the season, I believe Fuqua is done.  Younger Fuqua tough as nails but Garcia got his #.  Always a good match.  Garcia just keeps looking better.

Has Halsted beat Padilla this season????  Saw first match, both wrestled tough, Padilla got lucky.  but Padilla beat him convincingly at DAC.  Third match at Regionals gonna be a war!

What happened that he is done for the season?

The little one as you put it we will see.

    Halsted will win

  6. Was he stalling or not?  Not in regulation for sure

That is the only relavent issue.

Time, position, etc. are immaterial. UHH that is what matters since that would determine the call

The way this sounds this was perhaps an inside job and the ref was paid to call the match in Schroeder's favor ;D.

That wasn't said, But now that you mention it, where were the stall calls Against MD all day. Are you gonna tell me that in the 215 and the 103 pound matches that MD wasn't stalling. We could have had Tech falls or pins.

Did the ref call stalling consistently throughout the dual? Absolutely Not

I mean it seems funny that until now, I haven't seen much said about this particular match other than Schroeder was awarded a stalling point in OT.

Others that saw it.  Did the calls seem as bad as New Dawg seems to think they are?

And I am particularly interested in those that have no dog in the fight. Why, I can make an honest assessment, WE LOST. Not Coach's fault, not any one kids fault. MD got it done, I won't make an excuse, just to look at the whole dual a lot of little factors determined the outcome.

  7. Yah its was bad LOL, what a joke. The kid had stiches in his forehead over his eye that were busted open, blood running down the mask. He signaled to the injury to the ref not once but twice, the ref warned him with stalling, then took him to the trainer. They started again after the taping and a clean-up, Schroeder had the leg in Fuqua hit a sit then  Schroeder was working a Banana split, Fuqua was in a tripop looking up while Schroeder was cranking it with 2 seconds left. That was the call to put it in OT.

The video needs to go to the IHSAA its that blatant.

In Ot Fuqua and Schroeder were locked up and the ref hit Fuqua. You can tell by Schroeder's reaction he was given a gift

  8.   The Truth

Let's see in the first period, flat stuck in a cradle for 16seconds on the clock, at the end of the period Lykins got a reversal while both were on there feet(should have been an escape) match 5-2 Fuqua.

2nd period while escaping Fuqua on his back for a 3 count  5-4 then he escapes 6-4 then he gets a no call takedown. ThenLykins got a takedown 6-6 on a sloppy go behind and Fuqua escaped  7-6. Then what you guys are talking about was the two of them with 5 seconds left withe the whizzer in and also Fuqua blocking him with his leg while neither official awarded points because there wasn't a takedown and sure wasn't back points.

3rd period started neutral and Fuqua got the takedown and the kid on his back at the end of the match was Lykins (not Fuqua) that got sucked back and should've got at least 2 more points

  9. Micic beat her in 2010 6-0   3-2 for 1st and 2nd at the free style state finals in 2010.  In 2009 Micic beat her 6-0 at folkstyle state in 2009.  Now here is some results from 2007.  Kayla def. has a chance to win.

  10. No, a wardrobe malfuntion isn't something she will have to deal with often (freak thing), but I've seen her often and your wrong if you think she will make the same mistake twice! Not saying she will beat Micic, but if you think she's not capable or out of her league your kidding yourself. I think Micic would tell you there's about 35 guys he has seen this year that he would rather wrestle than Kayla to advance. Good luck to all these kids...

I don't think that he would tell you that, I know Micic and his family and the fact is he wouldn't say that at all. She is a good wrestler and not to take anything away from her or her family and or her teammates, her season will end when she faces Micic. She has not wrestled anyone close to his caliber, and that is the hard truth. Good Luck to all.
