I remember that as well, but I also remember him being crazy dominant in high school. One could argue Tsirtsis was the more accomplished wrestler in high school, but so many similarities.

Tsirtsis was very boring to watch in college. Seemed like he was always content to win 2-1 on a riding time point. I know that wasn't always that case, but I know he had many matches like that.

NJ has Baumgartner, Mocco and Cassar Minn. has Lesnar, Nelson, Kerkvliet and (arguably) Steveson PA and Ohio have had multiple each. Its an interesting topic for sure. I'd probably give it to NJ considering Bruce went there and he may be the most underappreciated wrestler of all time. -
When you see Davidson from Michigan and Chesterton in the finals after Mason Parris just won it. Gable was born here. Streck just won his second D2 title. Greg Wagner was a 3 time AA. Tony Vaughn was an AA. Hartleroad already has won U16's. Can we say that we produce the best Heavy's in the Country?

Interesting about Renteria. I wonder if he came into college small. He was 5-19 in 2 years at Illinois, but he was 6-0 in opens this year behind Kaylor, who graduates. He'll obviously be one to watch if the Figueroa win was for real.
