Former Frankton High School Head Wrestling Coach Otis Cress passed away peacefully yesterday evening, after an accident he sustained at home.  Coach Cress coached wrestling and football at Frankton High School for 30+ years.  He left a legacy on the football field and wrestling mat.  Frankton H.S. football field is named in his honor.  Coach Cress was also inducted into the IHSWCA Hall of Fame as a coach in 2003.  During his tenure as a wrestling coach he coached a state champion in 1995, multiple place-winners, and several state qualifiers.  For a small farm community and school in central Indiana, Coach Cress brought out the best in his athletes.  He touched so many lives as a teacher, coach, and mentor.  Coach Cress proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, was a Vietnam veteran, and Purple Heart recipient.  Please keep Coach Cress's wife Gena, children, family, and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
