  1. I've got Farrell over Bradley in OT if the brackets allow. Otherwise Farrell over Corsaro by 1 in regulation.
  2. Thanks for the clarification Mr. Chambers. I obviously have no idea what is going on or why he was DQ'd nor was I at the meet last week in which the DQ took place (just a casual Roncalli fan/alum). I just read on New Castle S.S. rankings that he was DQ'd in last meet prior to sectionals and is no longer ranked/eligible. I noticed that Roncalli actually has another meet scheduled this week prior to sectionals (per RHS website) and was hoping this would allow him to wrestle in tournament. Also, I am sorry to hear about Cash. He was my State Champ pick.
  3. Just want to say great job on the rankings this year... I know it must be hard. Also, as a Roncalli fan I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the McGinley situation for me? When I saw on New Castle S.S. rankings that McGinley was DQ'd in the last match prior to sectionals I checked Roncalli's athletics website and it shows a meet scheduled on 1/22 Vs. Scecina. Is there any chance this would serve as his penalty/DQ event? Thanks
  4. You sure Zach? Roncalli website shows Scecina on their schedule next week.
  5. Did Lecount wrestle yesterday? I heard the bad news about James, but didnt see why Cody wasnt wrestling. Best wishes to a speedy recovery forBrandon
  6. Wow. I'm amazed by this young man's courage to fight and make it back to the mat. It was inspiring to watch him wrestle today at Perry. Keep fighting Joe! Your determination will serve you well (through this season and in life after stepping off the mat).
  7. 'back in the day' freshmen did not compete in ncaa varsity athletics. I believe Gable won ncaa his soph and junior seasons and of course.lost to owings in championship of senior year
  8. Great article... truly captures the mentality of a wrestler. What a warrior Campbell is. Absolutley no quit in him! I hope my son grows up to be as tough and humble as this young man. Good luck in the Naval Academy.
  9. Gallaghers is at Southport and S.R. 37. Mucky Duck is at Southport and 65. Both great places to get a beverage and bite to eat. You gotta try Gallaghers 'sink pizza'. Best on the southside.
  10. If you want to go somewhere to talk wrestling or support wrestlers businesses you can hit The Golden Ace (McGinley Family) or Gallagher's Irish Pub (owned by Nick Himes from Roncalli who is a cousin of the McGinleys) or McHugh's Irish Pub (another McGinley cousin). I know the pizza at Gallaghers/McHughs is very good.
  11. 1. Gil Journey 2. Randy Baker 3. Damon Hummel 4. Joey Strausborg 5. Ryan Schoettle
  12. thx. hope he is good to go this weekend.
  13. is willis 100%? why did he Inj. Def.?
  14. this is gonna be a great one. its hard to pick against Phillips but Lecount has the skills and hunger to pull off the upset.
  15. I thought NC SS rankings were very fair and well done. I know I enjoyed reading and referencing them throughout the year. Not everyone can be ranked! You must consider that Zach can't watch and evaluate EVERY wrestler in the SS! Thanks for taking the time to work on the SS rankings- Job well done Zach.
  16. cant beat the organ. although as Matt pointed out it would be awesome to get a video of the past and current participants. Maybe some highlight footage as well as the guys talking about the state tourney. i know they do this for all of the regular season football games at Lucas Oil
  17. Didnt major Kelley or Faurote (145). I would definitely call Jackson a heavy favorite though.
  18. There is only one lock. 1. Tsirtsis He is the only one who could overcome illness/injury/getting 'caught'/etc. and still win. As someone pointed out the rest would be more appropriately labeled as 'favorites'
  19. Disagree. I dont think he disrespected his opponent. I love this guys intensity. Which has made him fun to watch on both the the football field and wrestling mat.
