Garcia and Carroll were both 4 and O going into the final dual meet at 125. Carroll was under the weather to my knowledge and did not wrestle the final match. Garcia won by forfeit. Garza won a very thrilling victory over a tough kid from yorktown. The match was decided in overtime. Garza scored a takedown in the first 20 seconds of overtime and pinned his opponent. Merrillville defeated Yorktown.

I see McMurray winning. I've seen him wrestle a few times this year. He is always in control. Right position. Never in trouble. I won't believe it, until i see it. He always comes prepared. It would be nice to see a good match. Just from a fans perspective..

Any indication on how to identify the crazies at merrillville semi-state. Any clues on what to look for???

Well, just a modification. Not sure a coach has said this, but sure he has thought it. "Never argue with a moron. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience..." Please no examples..

Wrestle at all cost.. So, regardless of what happens. Show up.. Or forfeit?? ;D

It takes a lot more heart than skill to wrestle. A lot of sports you have to be either super gifted. It might be in height, size, etc. Wrestlers are very talented and skilled, but some are just average. It takes a lot of heart to come out everyday and get your butt kicked day in and day out and keep coming back for more. Wrestlers learn what hard work and discipline is all about. It allow wrestlers to come together and be a family. Everyone respects a person who works hard. Regardless of talent. Keep the tradition alive and respect everyone.

I like the atmosphere. It is INTENSE. You talk about pressure performing in front of all those people. Believe me the wrestlers are not worrying about the seating or the food. Put up or Shut up. The LIGHTS. Its the LIGHTS..

Wrestled 140 junior and senior year. I fluctuate from 165- 170 now. They say muscle weighs more than fat??
