  1. I understand that this makes for good posting material, but I am tired of hearing the comparison between Merriville and Ft. Wayne. All of these kids work hard all year (no matter what region they are from) and can get on a roll at any time. BTW, I am from the Merriville region, but I enjoyed watching Jackson wrestle the most...that kid is an animal and is always working.
  2. A lot of the matches that are happening for 3rd could have been finals matches. Competiton was tough as always. looking forward to a night of exciting wrestling.
  3. Although I would also like to see this match, let's not get ahead of ourselves. They have some tough matches to even set this up. On the other side of this, I don't think the two coaches care much for each other. That would add a little more intensity to an already tense situation.
  4. It appears that awood10 really despises Snyder. I don't know ll of the facts when it comes to kids switching schools, but doesn't someone at the IHSAA?
  5. WOW....there have been good arguments for both sides. I think that: 1. Team State should be classed. There is a larger talent pool to draw from for the largers schools, therefore creating a stronger TEAM. After the state tournament, there is a tournament of champions (if people want to see that). 2. Leave the individual tournament alone. A 135 lb wrestler is the same whether he/she comes from a school of 3,000 or 50. Your team can't help you when you are on the mat. Again, just the opinion of one person.
  6. I have continued to argue about this very topic with the South Bend Tribune for the past five years. They continue to have a ton of coverage on the holiday basketball tournaments in the area (which I am fine with) as long as they cover wrestling with the same enthusiasm. When you look at the number of kids that particiapte in this tournament from the area every year it is frustrating that there isn't more done to cover this event. Good thing for this message board and broadcastsport.
