The bigger problem is the top 3 weight classes, they are different than the boys.

Faulkins just sent an email that the girls weight classes are the same as the boys this year. Only exception is IHSGW State Tournament.

In the other IHSAA sports such as Football and Volleyball there is also a success factor that moves teams up into the next class, I believe if they win state twice in a row they move up. Providence High School's Volleyball team is an example of this and it may have also happened Columbus East Football.

New Albany is looking to have 40+ this year. Our facility has 1 and 2/3 of mat space with 2 locker rooms and a weightlifting area. The facility is in a basement area, so it is dedicated to us, we have the older large mats laid out for practice and four light weight mats for meets. Our middle schools are away from the high school, so they practice there, except during winter break when advanced wrestlers come up to the high school. -
Any new officials out there (or experienced) New Albany is looking for more officials for our JV and Girls tournament on 23 December, our goal is to have 8 officials for 6 mats. We have some seasoned officials signed up so this could be a great opportunity for new officials to get some experience.

New Albany just added a Girls 10 team event for 23 December. It is aligned with a 10 team JV boys tournament the same day. 2 Gyms, 5 mats.

I remember seeing a spreadsheet with all the coaches wins, does anyone still have that? We are specifically looking for the number of wins that Phil Thrasher of New Albany had. He had the most for a long time, but finding records from the 50's on is difficult. Any help is appreciated Thanks Randy
