We have a 6 way duals the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the return of a 16 team individual tournament on 21 December.

Great news for the Ohio Valley, we have cleared the way with our athletic department to bring back the historical "Falls Cities" individual tournament to New Albany High School. 16 Teams Double elimination Wrestle back to 3rd, place 6 21 Dec 24 We will run it on Track Wrestling Please let me know if you are interested and we will get you a contract out! Injury times are out of control

I watched a wrestler call injury time by waiving his finger after walking back to the center of the mat (after they went out of bounds). The coach then brought him water and they just stood there. No trainer or inhaler, nothing, took nearly the whole 1.5 minutes then say he was ready to continue. Not sure how you want to perceive or manage that. -

Have to disagree on this point, New Albany is only 10 minutes from Jeffersonville and Floyd Central is 15. We currently go 1.5 hours to Southridge. If it is only geography based decisions then this would never be the situation. -

The movement of Floyd, Tell City, and New Albany into the sectional with Jasper and Southridge has made it a pretty tough day. -

Did the day for the seeding meeting move from the Monday before? I don't remember seeing a change, but the track information is not lining up for a Monday meeting.

New Albany will be hosting a 6 way Dual Meet on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, 27 November in 2024, named after long time New Albany coach James Binkley . We will weigh in at 7:30, 3 mats, with each team getting 5 matches on the day with a goal to be out of the gym by 3:00. Team and individual weight class champions will receive awards.
