I wrestled for Coach Jarmen from 01-04 he was a great coach and even better mentor. He would do everything in his power to make you believe in yourself and your team. If it wasn’t for guys like Coach Jarmen, Coach Anderson, and Coach Hardman I may have never went into the coaching field for 20 years before my retirement! This is said news but we will all remember that high pitch voice when he was upset with you or the team! One of my greatest memories was at the MSU Open in 2001 and the three Carr brothers and Salazar were the only ones to make it to Day 2. He got everyone else out of bed at 530 in the morning and we had to run the bleachers for hours at MSU Hockey facility. I have many other stories I could share but we will not go there. Coach Jarmen you will be missed!!!! May you rest in peace. Chad Hershberger

Harper has been secretly training over the last few months. He has passed all of his mental and physical tests. He will be running the Antarctica Marathon, which happens only once a year. He will first head to Northern Russia for a week to train with idol Sylvester Stallone. Once he is done there he will make his way to Argentina for acclimation for 10 days. Once he is done he has short stop at the Falkland Islands to teach the penguins how to wrestle. He will then have a short 7 day trip to Antarctica where he will complete the 26.2 mile run! Congrats to Sarah Hildebrandt on making it to the finals tomorrow! She has now set herself in stone no matter the result as one of the greatest to come out of the state of Indiana. If she can complete her dream of a Gold Medal tomorrow she will be on the Mt Rushmore of USA Women’s Wrestling. Good luck to Kayla Miracle later this week as she goes for Gold as well.

Here is the best idea ever! 1: Your team can enter 14 kids no matter what weight. 2: you can enter whatever sectional you want. 3: if you qualify for regionals your team can pick their regional and then same for semi state. Schools covers all cost 4: if you don’t like your draw or how you finish you can do a one day last chance qualifier on Thursday before state. But must make scratch weight on Friday if state. Hopefully you all know I’m being sarcastic here. The state will never change how wrestling is done. We are the arm pit of high school sports.
