Not quite but close. I get tired or repeating myself.

bigdanteague got a reaction from Sig40 in 2016 Junior National Dual Team
Step 1 - We admit that we have made serious mistakes that have threatened the viability of Freestyle wrestling in our state. We further admit that continuing along the same path will cause more harm to the sport we love. We further admit that blaming the bitchers and moaners, the carpers and complainers will do nothing but detract from our goal of improving wrestling in the state of Indiana.
My sponsor told me that until you do step one, all the other steps are a waste of time.

Ahh the inevitable personal attack. How predictable of you.
Here is one heck of a suggestion.
1. Recognize the elephant in the room: The two meet qualifier was a knee jerk decision to try financially support the local clubs. Improving in the international styles had nothing to do with the decision as evidenced by Waivergate. Like most knee jerk decisions, there are unintended consequences. (Waivergate, Midweek Mayhem, Studapalooza). The ISWA must admit to this poor decision before moving on.
Maybe I have an agenda, maybe I am just a troll, or maybe, just maybe, I actually work with kids in the room at the grass roots and know how these decisions have crippled freestyle.

That is not what you said earlier. You claimed that Y2 did not have suggestions and now your are saying you don't like how they are making suggestions.
Furthermore, by claiming that people like Joe Caprino, Dan Hatch and Nick Wiesjahn only have their kids or their agenda in mind when making suggestions is a slap in the face to these fellas.
Regardless of how honorable the ISWA people are, there is still a problem. The problem is because of decisions made by the ISWA people.
Again, the mess we are in is the ISWA's doing. Deflecting attention to those that offer suggestions to better the product will not fix the problem.

The ISWA screwed up last year by allowing indiscriminate waivers at the last minute after many families had made sacrifices trying to to play by the rules.
The ISWA screwed up this year by being petulant and not offering any waivers.
Passive aggressiveness and blame shifting is not much more productive than bitching.

1. Please get rid of the two tournament rule or give exemptions to members of our national teams.
2. Please communicate with the rank and file ISWA members before making decisions that impact their spring wrestling plans.

Forcing people to do things has never really been a good idea.. In this age of numerous choices and activities, forcing a kid and a family to choose will not work out well.
The ISWA seems to be constantly tripping over their own feet when it comes to freestyle. This is the perception that the public is getting, and perception quickly becomes reality.
"Waiver gate" ... "Last Chance/Last Minute/KindaSecret Qualifiers" ..... Bad perceptions.....

This event is for the best of the best, not the best of the Bartholomew Co. I suggest more local super duals.

Don't blame Joe or the kids...blame me if you want to blame someone...I coach the Gorillas team so its on me for wanting to coach my own kids.
I would wrestle my high school team in it if possible and we would probably be pretty successful.
This isn't like Cadet/Jr Duals where only 2 teams per state are allowed...if it was this would be an 11 team 6 state tournament....the prestige just isn't there. If and Indiana team would have won this it wouldn't push us to some higher tier when it comes to national wrestling ability

The more I competed and the better I became, the more I began to see that despite my contributions to the sport, there were some people who would never know who I was, and those who did may choose not to like you anyway.
