    The top tier(in somewhat order)

    Pennsylvania
    Ohio

    California
    New Jersey
    Illinois

    Second tier(not too much order)
    Wisconsin
    Michigan
    Minnesota
    Indiana
    Oklahoma
    Missouri
    New York
    Georgia(sneaking up there)

Look at NCAA qualifiers and All-Americans, Junior/16U/14U Duals results, Super 32 results, etc and you'll see most of these states in the mix. The second tier has good runs, then small lulls at times.

Recently Indiana has been better than Michigan, but over the course of 10-15 years Michigan is slightly ahead.

Georgia is moving up quickly!!! They have some dudes!!!! With that said, they have 7 classes in high school. Our class wrestling advocates, need to research their recent success and bring that to the class wrestling debate!  @Thor

At the youth level they had Compound. I still see Minons. Lately.. Roundtree has been really tough. These dudes are tough as HELL.

    285 Feldman 9

Thanks for doing this! Can't wait to take @TeamGarcia bananas.

We both swung and missed on Peterson. He was impressive at Big 10s.

I see you took a big hit at 157 too....

    @TeamGarcia Goes 10 for 10!!!!

A lot of people picking Starocci as their wildcard, myself included. He definitely has the most potential to go from a low seed to champ just because of how the seeding committee messed this bracket up. But there is also a good chance he's too injured to wrestle, loses to Mehki Lewis, and just defaults out due to injury. Very boom or bust here, but hope he's healthy enough to make a run.

That man was talking about transferring out of PSU because the coach kept him out of the Big 10s. He was sooooo pissed. He is gonna be on a mission!!!!

Oh, yes, now I remember who Perseverance was.  Good choice!

Yes! Mr Allred was a very dynamic man. He lived an amazing life and his journey and words of wisdom made an impact on many of us in our wrestling community. Mr Allred was wise beyond his years. He counseled me on multiple occasions and his words were from somewhere not of this earth. He was a very spiritual man who meant every word he said.

He is and always will be missed by us all. I will be rooting hard for his son this weekend!!!

  5. I have been told that top 5 make it in. If that is the case, I have finished 5th. With that said, I would like to decline my 1st ballot honors to ensure that the best story teller ever, and friend to many, Tom Clark @grecoref ,be honored as a 1st ballot entrant to the IndianaMat Poster HOF.

We miss your amazing stories friend!!!!!

My time will come and until then my County brother @TeamGarcia will hold the HOF down for our community!!!

Congrats to all the great posters that make this site so much fun!!!

  6. I coach at the other Brownsburg middle school and am proud to be a colleague of this warrior. You won’t find better man in our wrestling community.

Last night, his team won the Hendricks County middle school wrestling tournament by over 100 points! It’s a VERY tough tournament full of current and future state champs. His team is awesome, and brings Coach Frepans warrior attitude each time they walk onto the mat.

Coach Frepans team will finish the season this Saturday at our conference tournament in Zionsville (another stacked tournament). It Would be pretty cool to see coach Frepans team win him another team title!!
